What delightful creatures you have visiting you, even though they do eat your garden.

Around here, in the middle of a sprawling metropolis near Los Angeles, I have two stray cats who arrive regularly for breakfast, a rogue squirrel who shows up now and then and chatters at me from the avocado tree, and a couple of blue jays. Comparing your fawn with ours here in N.CA., your fawn seems more delicate, pointier nose, shorter neck, but the same beautiful eyes and spotted coat. They are so pretty. Once of the commenters mentioned seeing a cougar in their yard... we are so thankful NOT to see the cougars this year. We hold our breath and count fawns every morning. Our back yard adjoins a creek and a deer path that leads to the river nearby.Lindahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08450792092084530798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244312641135825556.post-53761101543691258482009-08-26T00:11:03.784-04:002009-08-26T00:11:03.784-04:00So sweet! One day when the neighbor shooed it away from his garage, it turned and went up the front porch steps to go into the house...must have been surving up apple bark or tulips in that house!
We once had a cougar run through our yard, almost too fast to notice.
The best guest was a huge moose with enormous antlers that strolled through the yard, sniffed at the sheets hanging on the life, then turned around and walked away.
Those were the days before I always had a camera handy.
