An Afternoon In The Garden

It was such a beautiful day yesterday and so I took my camera out into the garden to record what was blooming.

I have lots of these pretty mums.  They start off white and turn a pale pink and they provide lovely pops of color in my garden this time of year.

On closer inspection I began to notice the bees.

So I zoomed in  and this is what I saw.

Amazing aren't they?

  1. I just love the fuzzy little bees! They really are such amazing little creatures. Unfortunately for me, their stings can be deadly so I try not to get too close! I love these photos:>)

  4. Wow, Rhondi, you must have a great zoom lens or you were closer than I would be able to be. Lovely flowers too I first thought they were daisies.

  7. They are amazing! There's a reason for calling a busy person 'busy as a bee'.

  8. So pretty! I need to wander in my garden - in my dear, little mother's garden to capture the last blooms of the season. It's a chilly but sunny day. I'm enjoying the Fall sunshine as long as it lasts. Won't be too long before the skies turn gray and send down 'liquid sunshine' for awhile.

  9. What lovely pictures you have taken of little bee!! I became a beekeeper last year and oh, my, it is so fun getting in the hives and watching them work!!! My girls are so gentle (God was good in giving me sweet ones to start with!!) I could sit for hours and watch these girls do their thing!!

  10. I miss the bumble bees, they used to keep me company when I gardened (I don't see them any longer) they were very peaceful. Even though I am allergic, they never worried me. The local honey bees are usually pretty quiet, but when I see a swarm of them I get nervous and head inside.
