Today I was thinking about how thankful I am for all the wonderful friends God has given me over the years and how many cups of tea we've shared using my dainty blue tea set. If it could talk!
We've laughed , we've cried, we've planned, we've rejoiced, we've regretted, we've forgiven, we encouraged, we've advised, we've reminisced, we've solved problems, all while drinking tea from these teacups.
Neighborhood gatherings, ladies bible studies, quilting groups, baby showers, bridal showers, garden clubs, goodbye parties, birthday teas, planning meetings, all with a cup of tea.
I am so thankful for dear friends I have had over the years, many of whom live far from me now. I am thankful for the new friendships that have formed since we moved to North Carolina and I am thankful for all the wonderful friends I've made since I began blogging!
One of my friends has moved to Dallas. She is a quilter and she is also looking for a good church and a Beth Moore bible study. If any of you live in Dallas and would like to make her feel welcome, email me. If you have moved you know hard it is to move to a new city and have to make new friends.
To all of you, thanks for being my friend. I wish everyone could come and have tea (or coffee) with me. If you are a coffee drinker, I just need to warn you I make the world's worst coffee so I'll ask you to make it when you get here!

Rhondi, this is a beautiful post and friends are so important. I'm sure your friends enjoyed sitting with you and taking tea!
ReplyDeleteI love that beautiful tea set.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Your tea set is just lovely, Rhondi and all the memories you have using it are so sweet and precious. Wish I lived closer, I would love to be a visitor and share a cup of tea with you!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I was one of those lucky friends that got to have tea with you, drinking out of your dainty blue!
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for you, my friend!
Hugs,
Penny
I haven't visited you for a while and didn't recognize your blog with the new header stuff! You do have so much to be thankful for---friends are a true treasure!! Lovely tea set too!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to sip tea from your Dainty Blue Rhondi. I'll bet we'd have lots to talk about, and with the six degrees of separation that exist, I know that we'd eventually find that we have mutual friends!
ReplyDeleteI hope someone emails about a church and a bible study for your friend - moving is very hard once one no longer has children in school.
Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteLovely post! we do have our favorite tea cups don't we...ones that make us feel good..I have a set of coffee cups I love and only want to use while I have coffee at home. They are big and hold a lot of coffee LOL.
I am thankful for today and my yesterdays....I have learned something everyday of my life.
Have a blessed and sweet day Rhondi~Elizabeth
You would want to spend a long time savouring tea from those delightful cups!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteLovely post-you can never have too many friends!
I love your teaset.I thought I held the record for worst coffee maker.
Carolyn
Blessings to you Rhondi, You and I both wrote about friendship this morning-I knew we'd be kindred spirits from the first time I read your bog. I love the tea cups but I love your spirit of friendship more. Having moved three years ago to a new state and being retired I know first hand how difficult it is to cultivate new friendships. Wish you were closer so we could visit over tea. I wonder what your favorite type of tea is? Right now mine is Celestial's Cinnamon Apple Spice-I use it during the fall.
ReplyDeleteHave a day filled with blessings.
Hugs, Noreen
It is a lovely tea set. It does look like it would be perfect for getting together with friends.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Rhondi. Your Shelleys are gorgeous...I have a friend that collects them.

ReplyDeleteRhondi,
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that I have had tea with you in your lovely home! What a wonderful outlet this world of "blogging" has brought to us!
Hello Rhondi....I have been out of circulation and the first post I opened was your blog....always beautiful and inspiring...keep on inspiring women like us.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Rhondi, a cup of tea would be a delightful time with you. This post just touches my heart. The tea set is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI read your previous post and your touching words about your daughter is so sweet. I know she must be special because it runs in your family. Smile.
Blessings and love, Jeanne
Hi there Rhondi! I love this thankfulness series you're doing (no matter how many days you do it). It's just such an uplifting time of my day to see your lovely pictures and hear your inspirational thoughts. Thanks for doing that!
ReplyDeleteBest,
~Angela :-)
I'm so in love with your blue china Rhondi (as I think you already know)and coupled with the white daisies against a red background it looks perfect (straight from a glossy magazine!) Thank you for popping into Flutterby Patch. I noted your comment about the fairy doll looking difficult so have added an extra picture at the bottom of the post to show how she is constructed (I should have done that previously). You need to be able to knit and purl and knit straight pieces (there's no shaping). The pattern might look a bit long because I've put in so many pictures for people out there who are completely clueless (and I do mean completely clueless) about constructing anything. Apart from knitting you need to be able to thread a needle and sew and I know you can do that!!!! I shall look forward to seeing your dolly! Eli x
ReplyDeleteFriends are precious. So is that china! I love your stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi
ReplyDeleteI will be over in 20 minutes...

Hope this finds you well
Blessings
Rebecca
