So here I am today writing a few random thoughts, saying hello and generally just rambling!
Spring has arrived early here in North Carolina. The cherry tree on our front lawn is blooming. If I had been organized I could have shared it with Beverly's Pink Saturday!
The camelia bushes are covered with flowers.
All the hellebores have been out for weeks.
Last week we had visitors in the woods behind our house. Can you see them?
Here is a closer look. They are so pretty to watch but they are a nuisance because they eat all my flowers!
When we were out for a morning walk recently I found a bunch of these feathers on the path. Don't they look like polka dots? I wonder what kind of bird it was, maybe a woodpecker.
I love to have real flowers inside. The daffodils are from my garden. The forsythia is from Michaels. I love it because it looks so real. They brighten up my "office" sitting on the table where I work.
Those are my random thoughts on this dull rainy Saturday. It's just so nice to chat with you again. I wonder what you are doing today?
Rhondi xo
Rhondi, how lovely to have flowers and colour in your garden right now. We have Hellebores, but no pink Prunus yet.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Rhondi. It`s going to be a sunny day here and I hope to get out to do some of the heavy work that must be done before the fun of flowers and plants can start. We`ve had a lot of high wind and the ground is littered with limbs and whips of trees.
ReplyDeleteI`m glad you took the time to do something that brings you pleasure, because I`m always happy to see that you`ve blogged.
So nice to hear your thoughts today, Rhondi. It is a gloomy day in the Charlotte area, but your flowers are a bright spot. My bulbs are just poking out of the ground. You are ahead of us. No daffodils blooming here yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on housework today ... laundry, ironing and bread baking.
Enjoy your weekend.
Wow, I love seeing all that spring life in your part of the country! It's a foggy and very frosty day here in South Dakota. I'm painting a bedroom and blogging during my frequent breaks. I hope I can get it done before we have flowers blooming! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIts s slightly " liquid sunshine " day in lexington nc.. Daffoldils are blooming here too.
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to get out in the yard and start playing with my plants.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy every moment in our wonderful state.
Yes our daffodils are us but no tree blossoms yet. Plenty of deer though! Maybe we'll meet next Saturday--not sure I can go yet, and noticed you were tentative as well. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteToo funny - after a week of Spring like temperatures in Northern Ohio; we awoke this morning to an unexpected snowfall! I love your pinks - it gives me hope at the end of the winter tunnel.
ReplyDeleteJust sitting by a cozy fire reading this afternoon, but had to get up and walk around before I dozed off. So here I am reading a few of my favorite blogs. So good to see a post from you! ~ sarah
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to hear from you. I love all of your spring flowers. The weather has been so balmy this winter. One to really enjoy.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteIt's rainy and gloomy here, too. I'm on my way to a movie "The Lady in Black"
I hope I don't regret it tonight when I'm by myself. I'm such a fraidy cat.

Hearing your thoughts was the next best thing to sitting down to chat with you! Loved seeing the visitors you had the other day - and I love the flowers, real and otherwise.

We haven't really had a winter here in Southern Calif. We need some rain! My oak tree in the front yard is bare, no flowers in the garden as yet. Nice to see you are getting some florals. Lately the only florals I do have are those that have been gifted to me. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers... be glad when spring is in our neck of the woods. I've had a few daffodils open and the camellia is in full bloom but that is it. Thanks for reminding us that flowers are on their way.
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are beautiful! We spent the weekend entertaining friends. They left this morning and I have spent time, washing sheets and towels. Then I started painting a dresser to go into my booth.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny

It's all good, dear Rhondi. Life does keep us too ... busy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post. Although NY has had a very mild winter, we are not wheres near Spring. Your garden is lovely and it's so fun to see the pops of color inside. And yes, it sure is hard to find the time to do the things we love. There's something wrong with that.

I love your office area...so bright and cheerful! (just like you!!!) About those feathers...did you ever find out what kind of bird they were from?
