Home Alone

Home alone today. The kids and grand kids have headed back home. I'm going to take the day to relax, maybe read, putter a little bit. For the last 10 days I've been visiting with family or friends, or driving. I just loved spending the time with my daughter and visiting with loved ones, and having the grands here, but I will enjoy the quiet of today too.

Here is the finished king size quilt I made for my cousin in PA. Here it is on her bed. She gave me carte blanche when it came to deciding on a pattern and I was a little worried that maybe it wouldn't look good in the room since I didn't really remember what the room looked like.
It goes perfectly in her bedroom. If I had a picture in front of me when I was designing it I couldn't have chosen anything more suitable. She loved it and appreciated all the work so that was very satisfying for me.
I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'll get around to visiting you as soon as I can.
Oh, I just realised today is Thursday! I am thankful for all my family and also for the fact that everyone loves each other and gets along so well.
It's fun to go away but I am always glad to be back home.
Rhondi xo

It was great to hear from you! How fun to have time with the family, but I agree, it is taxing. I feel that way after a vacation! LOL!! They wear me out!

The quilt is a piece of art!! I love it and your cousin is one lucky lady. Rhondi, that must have taken so long to make considering it is king size. You are incredibly thoughtful!

    Enjoy your rest!

  31. Oh my, Rhondi that is amazing. I was thinking about you over the last two days, as I design my quilting cards. I think I want to send you the samples and then you can tell me which one you think is best. I love your quilts, and I don't know anyone who puts more love into theirs.

This quilt on your post is a perfect example of your beautiful and heartfelt work. I love how the heart quilt on the wall really shows this quilt off.

    Have a lovely weekend.

    Blessings, Karen
