Seasons In Our Lives

Hello my dear blog friends.

I miss you.  I miss having tea with you.  I miss showing you what I have been doing.  I miss talking about things that don't seem very important in the great scheme of things but ARE important in our everyday lives.  I miss snapping photos and thinking, "Oh this would be fun to show my blog friends!"

I've had the same quilt on this table in our lving room for a long time.

There is nothing decorating our dining room table.

I did one little project, framing a beautiful yo yo flag that my friend Karen gave me a long time ago.

And I've started making some squares to make into a tablecloth.

Concentrating on work takes all my time and creative energy.   I have my first closing on Friday so it has been worth the work but I have to figure out how I can  balance work and my blog.  I'm out of practice taking photos too!  These sure aren't very good!
I haven't forgottten you and will stop by to visit as soon as I can.

Your friend
Rhondi xo

  4. Oh Rhondi, I know just how you feel! School is taking up all my time and I have had such a hard time blogging. No time to do projects, the house is a disaster and life seems pretty much focused on study. I can't give the blogging up though. I just have to do the best I can. We miss you too, but you are on my google reader so any time you drop a line I see it:>) Congratulations on your first closing:>)

I know your days are full with the new job, so I hope that in time the schedule will allow more leisure time for yourself. Take care and know that you are thought of here at HFTS. ~ Hugs ~ Sarah

  9. Hi Rhondi - Congratulations on your first closing - before you know it you'll be on a roll!
We miss you too, but I sure know what it is to balance full time work and all that I want to do in my life. It's a challenge. I tell myself that something always has to give, and then I just do what I can. I think your photos are lovely - that new blue tablecloth will be beautiful!
    Stay in touch, dear friend!

  12. Congrats on your first closing!!! That is a big milestone! You are right, it is hard to balance work and family and all the other things that go on in life, including blogging. I wish there were more hours in a day. The yo yo flag is really cute! What a nice friend you have! And your blue and white tablecloth is going to be beautiful! I can't wait to see how it turns out!

  13. Great to see a post from you Rhondi and so good to hear that you made your first closing!! I think as women we all want to be able to do it all!! I think we just have to settle for doing what we can, when we can. Trust that we, your adoring fans and friends, will be here whenever you do post and will relish every word and picture, no matter what! love and hugs! xxoo

  14. I love hearing from you anytime you have time, Rhondi!
What's important is that you are loving what you're doing!

  15. Yes, you are so not alone in this. Work does take alot out of us. I come home tired, and although things and ideas run through my head, I rarely get to them. I find less time to just be creative.
I am hoping this will pass, and I can go back to life like it once was before I had to work.

Praying for you. I bet you are one GREAT realtor!!

  18. Rhondi, we all understand! I'm excited you have a closing; good luck with it. That's wonderful. There are indeed seasons to our lives, and if this is your season to find your "sea legs" in your work life, then that's what you must do.

I have not blogged in a week -- and no good excuse! Just summer blahs.

And your pictures look fine to me!
    All good wishes, Cass

  19. Rhondi, I love quilts and yours are just beautiful! I really love the Flag made out of yo-yos. We miss visiting with you also! Take care and have a great day!

  20. Hi Rhondi! Congratulations on your first closing! You've worked so hard for it. I love the yo-yo flag! I've been in love with yo-yos lately, and I've been making tons of them. I guess it's time to start designing a project for them, huh? I think I have an idea of how you're feeling right now. We've had a difficult month here, and I just got back to my blog this weekend! "I look to the hills, from whence cometh my help..." I know He can help you find your equilibrium. It's been so nice visiting you - and I love the red quilt on the table and your photos! Take care of your soul, and everything else will take care of itself. Hugs, Terri

  22. I do understand how work sucks the life out of you! I decided to start working only part-time, and my husband is happier because now I get to be a better wife instead of a totally exhausted full-time worker!

Best of luck with your new closing.

  29. Rhondi,
Good luck on your closing tomorrow. I don't think it is possible to put 100% into several things at once. It's more like juggling. So soon you'll be blogging in between all of your closings.

    Karen

  30. Congrats on your closing! Yay for you! I totally hear you about juggling... I'm in the same boat. I hope you can find a way to do both--we miss you, too!

  34. Congratulations of your first closing. That will certainly make some of this seem worthwhile. We miss seeing you post more often, but I think we all understand that sometimes blogging just has to take the back seat. I do a LOT of entertaining over the summer, many house guests. I've been getting my posts up, but not much time for visiting. But hopefully soon. Congrats again.
