It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The azaleas in the woods are in full bloom.
It's a perfect day to while away the afternoon in the hammock with a good book.
And while I was setting up my hammock I disturbed a mother cardinal nearby.
As I was being lazy in my hammock, she was busy sitting on her eggs.
How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? I'd love to know!
Rhondi xo
Hi Rhondi! Glad you're having some down time! That hammock looks like a great place to be.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Azaleas are beautiful! Wondered what book you are reading!
ReplyDeleteWell Rhondi, I just came in from my garden where I mulched, planted, raked, snipped, cut, and probably walked a few miles in total by the time I called it a day...It looks good though:-)
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, I'm going to do what you did today.
Love your blog, I'll be following.
Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI am SO looking forward to setting up my hammock!
We got up to about 70 degrees, but little sun. Daffodils and forsythia blooming now...
We have a robin's nest in our pergola and it's all I can do to not stick my head in to get an up close view of those beautiful eggs!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
I love red azaleas! I had a nice day, too! I did some crafting and I finished the book I was reading! ♥
ReplyDeleteI spent Sunday afternoon reading your blog! Love the shot with the eggs. Rhondi, your blog would make a great coffee table book!
ReplyDeleteChurch first then fixing some recipes I wanted to try and then spending time with son and grandchildren. Pretty much a perfect day.
ReplyDeleteYour Azaleas are such a pretty color! This afternoon, I worked on a special mosaic project that I am going to post about this week.
ReplyDeleteThis evening we grilled outside under are almost finished pergola. We had burgers and potato salad.
Hugs,
Penny
A perfect activity for a lazy Sunday afternoon, I played on the computer all afternoon as it was raining. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI have been spending time with my daughter who went to her prom last night with bronchitis. She is not feeling well, poor baby! So we watched old Sandra Bullock romantic comedies!
ReplyDeleteI spent the day with my two little grandsons, running, skipping, pushing swings and crouching at the base of slides. Later we baked cupcakes and decorated them (and the floor and table!) before a pizza party supper. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI am so nosy that I'd like to know what you're reading!
We did yard cleanup today in the very hot sun! I can't believe I just said "very hot son"! It wasn't a mirage either! It sure felt good!~Hugs, Patti
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Rhondi. We spent our afternoon relaxing too. I called my mom and did a bit of baking. It's the same every week! xxoo
ReplyDeleteYour azaleas are beautiful, Rhondi! I can't think of a better place to spend the day than in a hammock.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
Azaleas and hammocks? We aren't there yet in my corner of the country. But I'm waiting - and hoping!
ReplyDeleteAfter church on Sunday we took my dear, little mother out to lunch and then took her to buy birthday gifts for two of my grandchildren who have birthdays this week and next. We added a bit of thrifting in, too. Then home to work on a project. If you stop by you will be what we are working on.
~Adrienne~
Those little bird eggs are so sweet...good luck to Mrs. Cardinal with her brood. Sunday was spent sleeping late, an early dinner out, followed by visits to the Farmer's Co-op store and the hardware store. Pretty relaxed.
ReplyDeleteOh do I miss azaela's . . . and lilacs, daffodils, crocuses, hyacinths and tulips. Flowers are different in Florida than where I grew up and I often remember Spring in NJ when I was a little girl. Thanks for a heartwarming memory!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Rhondi. We all need those kind of afternoon. Your azaleas are beautiful. We are enjoying ours, too.
ReplyDeleteI spent my Sunday afternoon putting things back together after the painter left. I also did some work from home.
Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot, I can almost hear the birds chirping. Your photographs are stunning. It's still too soon for our azaleas to bloom, but the promise of Spring is all around us. I saw Daffodils on the hill yesterday.
Karen
Not in a hammock in a yard as lovely as yours, that's for sure! But I wish I could have!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to wish you and your family a Happy Easter! Gorgeous images!

Kim

What a surprise! I love seeing azaleas and a rhododendron in bloom.
ReplyDeleteHi, Rhondi..so glad to hear from you. I was just thinking the other day that I hoped our weather got better soon so I could start getting my porch all ready for YOUR PARTY. :)))
ReplyDeleteRight now, we are having too high winds and sand to want to work outside. ;(
Rhondi dear.........I had no idea I would find you posting again, happy day! Thanks for your kind wishes for my trip - leave tomorrow - and yes, I'll definitely be thinking of you while eating a cream tea. Of course all my hard work this past month (dropped 10 lbs.) on Atkins will be shot after one of those!!!!
ReplyDeleteHope life is good dear - I've been thinking about you and will be in touch when I get back. Mary X
Hugs from Bob too.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon! A hammock & a good book are a winning pair! We enjoyed some lake time and took a short pontoon ride :-)
