You've Got Mail

One of my favorite movies is You've Got Mail. 


Yesterday I had a mindless job to do so I watched the movie while I worked.   In the last scene, as soon as the music, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" starts I always begin to cry. 

What movie always makes you cry?

    Well i love Sleepless in Seattle and while i do cry every once in awhile at a movie, I still wanted to contribute (I hope you don't mind, but your blog is so charming and quite fun too.) I love the red and white quilt you made, and now a third quilt is being made for me (i achieved this successfully by swearing i'll never ask for another again,they are so addicting). My third one is mostly black and white and I can't wait to get it. I have tried my hand at quilting but it aggravates my tendonitis terribly, how fortuante I am to have family that love me enough to quilt for me! Enjoy your weekend.

    I love that scene too! "Don't cry shopgirl, don't cry"...gets me everytime! I do have to say though that I have a hard time watching a movie where an animal gets hurt...just can't do it without getting a painful lump in the throat. Lots of romantic movies make my eyes water!~Hugs, Patti

    Anything sentimental, anything at all, and I cry. I'm such a pansy sometimes! If I'm at the movies with my family and it gets to a sentimental part, all their heads swivel to see if I'm crying yet. lol

    Love that movie....it can make me cry, so does Sleepless in Seatle...both actors play in both movies....

    Nobody is expected to come over today, the house is quiet, so its Steel Magnolias, Chocolat, Beaches, Notting Hill and Hope Floats for me this arvy.
    I went to a funeral the other day and was so determined I wasn't going to be emotional. Until I walked in and Somewhere over the Rainbow was playing softly in the background - gets me everytime I hear it.

    I love You've Got Mail, too! I love Meg Ryan's apartment in that movie. It makes me sad because I love indie bookstores, and I think it's so sad when Meg Ryan's character loses her mom's store, The Little Shop Around the Corner.

    Movies that always make me cry are Ghost, Casablanca, and Circle of Friends.

    You don't want to know how many times I have watched "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle" and cried each and every time at the same parts. Also, and yeah this dates me but I watched with mom the first time, "From Here to Eternity". Also it was a dream to have a bookstore like Meg's character did in "Mail"...and yes I cried each time I saw her close the door on the shop for the last time! Meg and Tom have magic together. Blessings.

    Whoops, above, that other movie should have been "An affair to remember". The Empire State meeting that never happened, it was also mentioned in "Sleepless in Seattle".

    Sleepless in Seattle is an all-time favorite. And I love 'You've Got Mail.' I always cry when she loses the store. But I cry even more when I watch Out of Africa and Memoirs of a Geisha. When they finally get 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' on film; I'll need 2 boxes of kleenex!

    this is on my favorites list as well. i always cry at the end of a few good men when the convicted soldier salutes tom cruise. love that movie as well.

    Oh, I love this movie! It makes me cry, too. So does 'Sleepless in Seattle' and 'Sound of Music'. I cry easily at movies that touch my heart.

    I read this on your blog and my hubby and I talked about it over dinner! When I hear 'Slipping through my fingers' in Mamma Mia...I cry...and I cry hard! Have you watched that movie? This is the scene where Meryl Streep is singing while her daughter is getting ready for her wedding. I don't have a daughter...I have 4 sons but I miss them SO much when I hear this song! I'm glad I'm not the only one that cries! Hugs! ♥
