Amaryllis
There are lots of new plants in my garden that began blooming while I was away. Two years ago, Ellen Guerrant, a very talented quilting friend gave me a few amaryllis bulbs and they have really multiplied this year.
I love the bright red and just had to bring a stem inside.

Goodwill Find
Good morning my dear blogging friends.
What are you up to today? I am going to visit my daughter's kindergarten classroom this morning which should be fun. I have heard do many stories about the kids it will be fun to see them in person.
Last week when I took you shopping with me and you saw all the beautiful blossoms I bought something at Goodwill and I said I'd show it to you later.
This is what I got for $3.
At first I thought it was a real paint by numbers but on a closer look I think it's just made to look real. Anyhow it just spoke to me. I love the old fashioned feel it has, the rich color of the roses, the blue vase and blue and white plate.
Here are some close ups. See how it looks like paint by numbers. It even has some texture, but I think it's fake.

We have 2 rooms waiting to be made into guest rooms. We haven't started yet because mattresses are so expensive! Right now we use one of those inflatable matresses if we need it. When I begin to decorate the rooms I think this will be my inspiration for one of them.
Did you ever do paint by numbers when you were young? I did. I'd be curious to know how many others of you did it also.
Hope you enjoy the day. Rhondi xo
