My Journal

Hello dear blogging friends.
I don't know what has been wrong with my computer today but I have tried off and on since early this morning to upload some pictures and I keep on getting an "error try again in 30 seconds" message! I finally was able to get at least this one picture of journals.
I write in a journal every morning. I've had the habit for a long time now. I write about what is happening in my life, recording the joys and heartbreaks while they are fresh in my mind. I write out my prayers. I journal about things that trouble me and things I am hoping for.
I write about creative ideas I have and my struggles in trying to give substance to those ideas.
I write about my family and friends My whole life is in my journal! Writing in my journal every day grounds me, settles my emotions and gives me peace. When I write in my journal I feel like I am telling God my thoughts.
I am a very creative person and I love beautiful things, so you'd think I'd have a lovely journal like one of these in pink or blue. But my journal is just a plain black and white composition book like we used to use at school which cost me $1 at the dollar store. I have a large stack of them tucked away in my closet. Perhaps someday someone else besides me may read them and have a glimpse into my soul. In the meantime it's just between me and the Lord.

Hope you are having a great day.

  1. It sound like it would be very therapeutic.... I don't think I am disciplined enough.... wish I was...

  2. Lovely to hear about your journals - I know they are precious as you are so diligent in keeping them current - I'm bad at this.

Having same problem - cannot upload more than one photo at a time. Apparently I'm going to need to purchase additional storage from Google for the photos - you only get 1GB free, next one is $20 per year. I thought they just uploaded from one' hard drive - not Picasa, shows how much of a dummie I am - guess I need to buy those 'DUMMIES' books!

Right now we are so fed up with technology - the PC's, the laptop and the new 4 in 1 - everything is so difficult, tired of paying someone to come help us out!

  5. I have thought about journaling, but like Linda said, I don't think I have enough discipline to do it. And then it might become a chore instead of a pleasure. I guess when I am ready, I will know...

  6. Hi Rhondi, Journaling has always sounded like such a great thing, but I just dont do it. I guess blogging is my journal. It fulfills my need for color and change and a place to put my thoughts down easily and quickly. I envy your discipline in that area.

  7. Have you seen some of the wonderful things blog gals do with their black and white journals. They add pretty papers and things cut from magazines and stickers. I would love to journal but always seem to start and stop. Maybe some day I'll be disciplined to do it regularly. I had the same problem with adding pictures. On and off for two days I've had trouble. Finally gave up on my last post so will try again soon. ~Adrienne~
