By the way their studio is featured in the newest edition of the Where Women Create magazine.
I always thought the items they produced were pretty wild. Until I discovered Mary Rose Young. Look at the colors in this chandelier! It might not be your cup of tea, but isn't it cheerful and whimsical?
And how fun would it be to sip tea from these teacups?
Or have a cup of coffee from this mug...
This teapot looks like it would be right at home at the Mad Hatter's tea party! My laptop is being repaired so I am using a different computer. I can't download photos here or look up my favorites , or access my email address book. I feel very handicapped, but at least I was able to post something today even though I can't use my own photos.
I hope your week is off to a good start.

Bravo, Rhondi, for being so resourceful!
ReplyDeleteThose colourful images are just the thing for a grey west coast morning. I especially like the chandelier - the colours would get me every time!
I hope you get your own computer back soon.
I was just thinking to myself this morning as I was having hot tea out of a Santa mug...I really need something new to drink from!! Thanks for the ideas!

Happy Monday! What fun, whimsical stuff. The colors make me happy. Here's to the start of a great week!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a vibrant, lively style...I can't say I'd want a house FULL of it, but a few punchy pieces to add a pop here and there or to break out occasionally, definitely! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi! I love all of the pictures you were able to post. How colorful! That chandie is so much fun. I have been working on somre more whimsical ideas in my teapot chandies and this reminds me of my plans! Part of my plans for this year is to mix up what I have been doing with more color and whimsy. Your post on these two great artists are food for my soul...

ReplyDeleteI too have admired the pieces designed by McKenzie Childs. I don't own any, wouldn't it be fun find a piece a Thrift Shop. That's not going to happen!
ReplyDeleteMy laptop should be in a shop too. My keys keep sticking and the words are lagging behind what I've typed. It is very frustrating!
I appreciated all the happy colorful items on this gray rainy day in California.
