Thankful Thursday

Every Thursday I post about something I am thankful for. This year I decided to write down 5 things I am thankful for before I go to bed each night. The things I write down seem so trite, so small : food, safety, health, provision, a roof over my head etc. But when I really take a few minutes and think about them, they are really big things, which I take for granted. We all do. Even with the economy in turmoil, we are still so much better off than probably 95% of the rest of the world.

So today I am thankful for the life that I have, warts and all.

Take a few minutes and visit these blogs. All of them have written about what they are thankful for today. It will encourage you. And if you'd like to join us, just let me know.

What are you thankful for today?

at least 3 things I am thankful for each night. Your blog has inspired me to start tonight! Thanks! I am thankful for all the new friends and kindred spirits I am meeting in cyberspace. I'm also thankful that I can do what I love in the comfort of my own home.

  16. Hello dear Rhondi,

I just came home from work and found a package on my desk. Your big present had arrived! I was speechless when I opened it. How very sweet, how very generous and how beautiful! I LOVELOVELOVE the fabrics and those Alma Lynne ladies are so adorable! I must make a quilt out of them and hang them in a place where I can see them VERY OFTEN! Soooo nice they are, they múst cheer you up whenever your mood is gloomy :)
You really shouldn't have done this, but ... how lovely this all is. What a nice beginning of the weekend. Thank you very, very much! Tomorrow I will take a picture (in daylight) of the fabrics and show them on my blog.

Have a nice weekend & big hugs,
    Carolien
