Right now my gardens are filled with aquilegia (columbine). They seed themselves everywhere and I just love the surprise when they pop up in unexpected places! The colors are so beautiful. Some hang down and are sort of ruffled. Some face up. They grow in profusion at the side of our house.
I think they look like God painted each one individually. I hope you enjoyed looking at the beauty in my garden today!

Rhondi, your Columbine garden is just stunning! What kind of light do they get? I have some on the west side of the garage (but mostly shaded) and they don't thrive like that at all! Any tips on care?
ReplyDeleteHi, Rhondi - I love Columbine! And yours are just exquisitely beautiful. I have four and need to add more. I just bought a yellow one to add to my garden. You've inspired me to find more colors and combinations. Thank you for sharing your beauties with us today. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteYou have such a lovely garden, Rhondi.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead.
Our Columbine are just getting ready to bloom as well Rhondi. I just love them. They're so pretty as are your lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful Rhondi. Love the shapes and the colors. The pink flowers that are looking down are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe 4th picture from the last one looks like swans gathered round.
They were always known as Granny's bonnets when I was a child!
ReplyDeleteMine dont self seed, I wonder why?
We have some of these but only in pink. I didnt know they came in so many colours. We are lucky our back garden faces south so they get the best of the sunxhine (when there is any!)
ReplyDeleteCatch some seeds and send them my way....what a beautiful garden. It's like God's hand came down and blessed your garden.
ReplyDeleteGood for you....
Your garden is absolutely beautiful!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty. I love columbine -- it's such a lovely old-fashioned flower. I only have white so far, but you've inspired me to get lots of other colors.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi, I just planted two columbine but you have zillons! I can't wait for mine to multiply. Do you have a shady yard? The varieties you have are so spectacular.
