Then I pour my tea into a mug and settle in my favorite chaise lounge, with my journal , bible, and some other inspirational book. I love my morning routine.
But....we have to get back into our routine of walking first thing in the morning. We keep putting it off, but starting next week, my lovely routine will be disturbed by the need to get healthy! Health will win out over comfort.
Once we get outside and start our walk I always love it because it feels good to get my old body moving, the air is fresh and I love that morning stillness before everyone is awake, but when the alarm goes off at 6:30, there's always the desire just to sleep a little longer.
I really do love mornings though. How about you? Are you a morning person?
Rhondi xo
Rhondi, I'm a morning person in the summer, when the mornings are light and bright. In the winter.......I'm a bear. I hibernate!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteI love my morning routine more then I love mornings! Lately mornings come to early for me, as I find myself awake at some point during the night. But your routine is very similar to mine. Except I like coffee with cream!
Good Morning~Blessings from Missouri!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI love mornings too and we have similar routines. Except that I have to get my little one off to school. He just left and I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and checking on my bloggy friends. I've been trying to start my walking routine also. I do it in the late afternoon though. I can get more things done in the mornings. I love to wash my dishes with my kitchen window open so that I can hear the birds singing and get fresh air at the same time. I still don't have a dishwasher at my little cottage. But thats o.k.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
Good Morning Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI also have a similar morning routine. I love being outside on our patio in the early mornings. If I could only add that walk in the morning, perhaps I would get more in during the weekdays. Happy Earth Day, Mumzie
I do love mornings, but I have to ease into them. I love a good cup of coffee and cinnamon toast, reading the newspaper. In the winter I love sitting by the fire in the morning. In the summer, I love to be on my front deck...
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Rhondi!
Hugs,
Penny
I have alwyas been a morning person. I love being up and about when there's no-one else around (or did when I could get about better). Never was any use inviting me to a party because I can't stay awake past 10.30! Good thing I'm not a celebrity.
ReplyDeletelove, Angie, xx
I'm most definitely a morning person...I hit the floor (not literally!) at 5:15 AM on weekdays. Of course, on weekends, I like to sleep in a little longer as time allows.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy mornings, but it takes me a while to get started. I tend to get more energy as the day goes on. But I do love the early morning sunshine, and listening to the birds. When my children were little we would do our devotions in the morning and start schooling. I miss that ole routine.
ReplyDeleteI love morning too, Rhondi. But exercise in the morning is another story (:
ReplyDeleteAnother morning person here. If I had my way I'd be out walking every morning. Tea is my morning drink too.
ReplyDeleteToday I went back to bed after my daughter got on the bus at 6:40 because my son is sick and I was letting him sleep. I finally got in the shower around 7:30, but feel something is not right about my day. I miss being up and dressed by 7:30. Will try very hard not to do this again!
ReplyDeleteI love your tea set!! Very pretty! Enjoy your walks!!
I love to be out on my patio early in the mornings on warm summer mornings. Nothing like having my coffee out there!

Yes, dear Rhondi, I am a morning person. I love the early hours when most of the world around me is quiet and I love to spend time with my Heavenly Father early before the day gets going. I just bought a tea maker (which I will share sometime soon on my blog!) and I hope to begin a new tradition. Morning tea over my Bible and devotional book - either before or after my "new" walking program. I, too, join you to improve my health by walking. I'm having trouble getting going but I'm GOING to do it! ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteLove mornings too! Oliver and I are on the porch with the tulips!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
love,kelee
How delightful that sounds...even the morning walk sounds great to me!

What a cozy post, Rhondi....does a wannabe morning person count? I have good intentions but...well...I do love my beauty sleep!!
ReplyDeleteI love mornings...if I have had a good nights rest...otherwise...I am NOT a morning person!
ReplyDeleteI love your little morning spot! Looks so cozy and comfy!
Nancy
Rhondi, I'm back. I just saw your front porch party on June 5...I'm coming!! YEAY!!! I will add it to my blog tonight.
ReplyDeleteI have always coveted your wicker lounger. I showed the picture of your lounger to my husband and told him I wanted that spot.
ReplyDeleteI see you don't have any night owls here, only early birds! I'm a night owl!

When my children were young, I was such a morning person (it was the only time of the day that I was able to read)! When I got up in my quiet house and read my devotional for the day, I felt such peace. About five years after my children left home, I realized that I had more of those quiet times, and I've learned to sleep in a little longer. However, you've made me feel guilty, because I also used to walk in the mornings, and I badly need to do that again. laurie
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly the sort of morning I need to start having.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
Beautiful post, Rhondi. I could just feel myself there! I don't know if you are doing Thankful Thursday still, but if so, here is my link. Thank you again for your inspiration!

I am absolutely a morning person Rhondi. I am in bed most nights before 9:30 and am up at 5. It's the best part of the day . . . the morning. I love it. XXOO
ReplyDeleteI'm a morning person too Rhondi! Beautiful post. The view from your deck is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI'm a morning, evening and all day person. I really love morning that I don't have to go to work.
ReplyDeleteI love having time to savor the moments.
Good luck with your walks.
I am a morning person for sure...... you sure are surrounded by morning beauty....

I am afraid I am a night owl, Rhondi! But I do love it when I am able to wake up EARLY in the morning - it makes me feel like I have more hours during the day! :)
ReplyDeleteI am a morning person. I love the morning light and the freshness of the air and the birds singing to wake me up. I wake at first light no matter what time of year it is:>)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your good wishes Rhondi. Unfortunately I'm really sick with what I'm hoping is just allergies - I'm dreading traveling feeling this bad! Perhaps being 'home' for a while will make me well - and I am escaping from the very hot weather due here today - imagine 90 in April!!
ReplyDeleteWill be in touch when I return.
Hugs - Mary.
I love mornings, Rhondi. My most favorite time of day! Of course I'm up every morning at 5:00am with hubby before he leaves for work.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
