Goodbye
It has been dreary, rainy and windy the last two days and all the beautiful leaves are quickly falling to the ground. We can see much farther in the woods now because the trees are getting quite bare. The beautiful colors of fall are slowly fading. I captured some of the color in a collage before it was all gone.

The trees are all almost bare here as well. I am looking forward to the first snow...shhhh.

It is a rainy day here too and the colors have been at their peak. I didn't even think about the of the leaf drop when I woke up to the rain. But you are so right.Bye Bye fall color in Sacramento too.

Hi Rhondi......Yes, sadly the trees have turned brown and gray from the loss of their beautiful fall leaves....sad, I know. The sun is shining here in Ohio so that it is a good thing! Soon we will be seeing the snow fly. This past year went too fast!~Patti
ReplyDeleteAfter a huge snow storm , here in Colorado, that closed everything down for 2 days, we are wearing shorts and sandles. Gorgeous and a real blessing!

ReplyDeleteMost of the leaves are gone here too. Whenever,I get all my outside chores done I will be looking for snow to brighten things up for awhile.

Your fall colors are so beautiful. We end up with bare trees too in our winter, but very little fall color, a tree here and there, the leaves just usually turn brown and drop off. Now it sounds like the perfect weather for your crafts.

ReplyDeleteYour collage of fall colors is beautiful, Rhondi. We still have some pretty foilage on our trees...we're still in the 60's here in the bay area of California, but the leaves are beginning to fall, so it won't be long til the dreary season is upon us. I don't mind, though, because that means decorating for Christmas, and its perfect weather for staying inside to bake, quilt, read, make homemade stews and soups...if only we would get just a little snow, it would be perfect!

Now you have to wait for spring for the trees to be glorious again. I love your fall colours, I've been inspired to make a quilt with them after seeing all the images. We don't have it where I live, it's too warm of course.
