oh yes here in ND the leaves have just begun to turn, plants are unfortunately dying in the garden...nights are chilly. It is now 61 and raining, crisp, perfect day to make cookies or pumpkin pie....if there wasn't a shortage on canned pumpkin!!
Rhondi, no signs of fall here though the storm in the Gulf is bringing us somewhat cooler temps and hopefully more rain. I got in some garden time yesterday, but need to be out there more than a few hours. So much to get done. Always a treat to see a post from you. ~ Sarah
Yes Rhondi here in upstate New York it went from 93 on Thursday to 66 today! So I am wearing a jogging suit and making soup and enjoying the silence with the A/C off. Hope you have some cool soon too! Tina xo
Hi Rhondi - It's pouring rain here in BC - and it's cold. As odd as it seems, the fire restriction haven't yet been lifted, so we can't light a fire in the fireplace....although I challenge any little spark to fan into a flame in this deluge!
We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend - weather wise! It was in the 60's Saturday, the 70's yesterday and today. I went over to my dad's and did yard work while my husband installed a new storm door for him. It has been TOO HOT to do any yard work in August. I hear a nasty rumor that we will go back in the humid 80's tommorrow, though.
Yes, it is certainly feeling like fall where I live. I agree with you. I can't wait for the leaves to change, to see pumpkins on people's porches, fall baking (apple pie, pumpkin bread, homemade soups and stews)..... you get the picture. I love wearing sweaters too! Fall is just such a beautiful time of year. Glad you had a nice weekend. Love & blessings from NC!
Cute birds you have! I know some folks just love fall, but I hate to see the cooler temps and the warm days of summer going away! Can't sit by the pool in Fall, nor on the beach.......
We had a cooler weekend with day temps in the 70's and nights in the 50's here in the mountains. It is suppose to get back into the 80's this week though. I know it will be perfect fall weather for my October Blogger Brunch! Hugs, Penny
Yes, Rhondi, you are right, I had a difficult time choosing only 7 for the award, and in fact I squeezed in one more, just because 7 choices are really not sufficient, 8 neither, but I bent the rules enough this time. Next time will be a another list, each to be mentioned in their turn, for filling my life with lovely moments. Have a blessed day, and thank you for the lovely things you share with us, you bless me. Yep, I have been spreadin the Fall around my home. The cooler temps have sure made me excited to change up my decor. I love Fall and am welcoming it with open arms!
Hi Rhondi, I'm waiting for Fall too! I have started getting out my Fall decorations. I have seen some signs of Fall in my garden. All my really heavy blooming flowers are now starting to slow down-poor things! They have been producing such beautiful flowers and now I think they are just tired! Have a great day!
It's starting to feel like fall here. Crisp mornings and warm sunny days. Perfect ~ especially after some very hot days in August. Have a wonderful Tuesday!!
Hi Rhondi! Yes, the weather is definitely turning cooler. We went kayaking yesterday, and the water was a good 15 degrees cooler than last time! Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I even put out the quilted Fall table throw I made last year. Have a terrific week! Hugs, Terri
I wish, Rhondi! Florida has a little fall, but not much and some years not at all. I try to get north to Michigan (I do love fall) but this year, I'm not making the trip. I'll make do with other peoples photos!
September in California is a hot month, but this summer has been a cool one for the most part, I cooked some stew this week and am craving soup right now, there is a cold wind and I wore a leather jacket today! Usually temps are in the upper 80's to the low 90's now we are having 60's. Put aside knitting on a lace shawl and took up a new project my first long vest.
Hi Rhondi, Thanks for visiting with me on my new blog. I'm still trying to get it all together but wanted to say how beautiful your little piece of the net is. Really looking forward to meeting you all at Penny's.
It's a lot cooler at night here in the mountains and the mornings are wonderful! I love your sweet birds and books! I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! Enjoy your weekend! ♥
Hi Rhondi, I'm looking forward to fall too. It's nice having the windows and doors open again ~ a little relief from the hot weather we've been having. Pretty photos. Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
I can't wait till it's time to put on a sweater and make some chili!
There are a few signs of fall. But the temps are still in the 90's in the afternoon. The mornings are nice and chilly - I wish it would stay like that all day!
Hi Thanks so very much for taking the time to leave a comment. I always read every one. I am glad you stopped by for a visit. Hope you'll come again! Rhondi

Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI think we are all dreaming alittle of fall. Most of us have had such hot summers, this year. I love your birdies nestled by the pumpkin!

ReplyDeleteI'm ready to purchase mums and pumpkins.
