To all my friends and family in Canada. HAPPY CANADA DAY!! This is a photo of the beautiful Canadian flag flying in front of the parliament buildings in Ottawa, the nation's capital. Canada is a very young country and officially became a nation on July 1,1867.
Hope you enjoy your holiday.

What a lovely post Rhondi. I was unaware, but there is a little time left in the day to celebrate. If it is a happy occasion, I believe in celebrating it. I'm off to light a sparkler. Susan

Hi Rhondi -
ReplyDeleteI forgot to wish our dear Canadian friends a happy Canada Day. So glad you did. I grew up with dear friends from Canada. We visited them often in Victoria. Such a wonderful experience. They showed us so many things in that area and always told the history. We miss them much now that they are gone.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for leaving your sweet comments. I always enjoy a visit from you. I'll check back here soon to see what you have to share.

Rhondi, I recently found out about Canada Day. It is like the 4th of July. Thats nice to know. Your porch chairs are so pretty.
ReplyDeletehappy Canada Day belated.
Love ya, Jeanne
Was thinking of you and other Canadian friends on that day - hope you enjoyed it. I loved visiting Ottawa on two occasions - Parliament Hill was fabulous - but I really want to return in Winter and watch people skating to work on the Rideau Canal, briefcases in hand, so I'm told!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all of Canada and have been fortunate enough to see much of that amazing land - my grandfather was from Toronto! WE were hoping to visit Montreal & Quebec this Summer however, with the anniversary of Quebec, accomodations are hard to find and cost an arm and a leg - may have to postpone for a while.
Hugs - Mary.
Happy Belated Canada Day to all of our Canadian bloggers. Rhondi, I like your photo.
ReplyDeleteToday being July 4th, I want to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day, may it be safe and enjoyable.
