I love the colors. The little flowers are so tiny.
So much attention to detail! They nestle together with a handpainted ceramic clock.
On the top shelf of my little bookcase in the studio. A little rabbit tries to climb a fence on one shelf and on another , Peter, helps hold some of the books.

At the Goodwill the other day, I found a pretty plate with sunflowers on it and a nice yellow metal trivet with a rooster, so that meant changing things around on the kitchen counter. When I did that it made me wonder if I should have painted the kitchen yellow! Maybe I'll put the rooster in there instead of the placemat and platter.. I love the yellow with the blue. It's one of my favorite color pairs. Enough puttering for now, I need to get back to the job at hand which is painting the trim and doors in the hall.
Hope you have a great weekend. I think we are going to see the movie Mamma Mia.
Rhondi xo
There's an award for you over at my blog. Come on over and recieve your prize!

Hi Rhondi....Isn't wonderful when we can turn a boring chore like dusting into a fun creative outlet...and playing with your Tea Collection is a perfect way to have your own party. The colors and details of these pieces are exquisite.Like little jewelry pieces.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue and Yellow viginette turned out so "Tuscany" I'm glad I stopped by for refreshing distraction.
Have a great weekend.
See you soon.
Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI love your collections, and those enamel tea pots are gorgeous. Your yellow and blue are wonderful, especially those sunflower linens really make the china pop. Blue and Yellow porcelain in China are the Emperor Design...they represent nobility. Karen

Hi Rhondi -
ReplyDeleteYou know I love yellow and blue, too, so I was enthralled with your beautiful things. Your little teapots are exquisite! And I love your books on the little shelf. With the rabbits peeking through. You did a great job putting them all together. When you finish your painting I have some doors in the hallway that need to be done! It would be much more fun if you were here.

Your blog is so good, Rhondi! I do not know how you are able to post such great topics on such a frequent basis. I struggle just to come up with some little something 2-3 times a week! You a a role model!
ReplyDeleteCatching up: first, I love the wicker you found! Isn't it just a thrill to find such super special items for next to nothing?
second: what a wonderful tribute to your husband! It is easy to take the relationship forgranted--you obviously haven't!
third: I so enjoyed your little tea pots and arrangements of your blue and yellow items. However, I really got excited when I saw the terrific bunnies! :-)
Super weekend wishes to you.
I've always liked yellow and blue together too. Loved your homey post Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteI love your collection of teapots. I, too, have a small collection of teapots, but mine are all Victorian flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love blue and yellow also, are we the same person? Although I have a passion for blue willow, I love the rooster with the sunflowers. Good choice.
Those little teapots are precious! I love all the color in them. Also love your Goodwill finds. I also love blue and yellow together, but really don't have that in my house except for the bathroom.

ReplyDeleteYou have some absolutely beautiful pieces. So unusual. I have never seen anything like it.
ReplyDeleteHi. I've been gone for awhile and am just getting around to visiting blogs. I was delighted to see your post about Carl Larsson July 11th. He has been a favorite of ours for years. We were so happy to be able to visit the family home some years ago. We felt like we were walking into his paintings. The home is kept just as it is in the paintings. We were the only English speaking tourists the day of our visit so got a "private English" guide!! That day the Larsson desendants were arriving for their annual reunion.
ReplyDeleteWe always have our Carl Larsson calendar hanging in the kitchen. Have to buy it at our local Scandinavian shop before December or we will be out of luck.
Those are beautiful. I have never seen enameled teapots before. First time for everything.
ReplyDeleteYellow is always cheerful, and I like your plate and trivet.
Ciao
Glenda
