I am thankful today for my husband. He is such a good man. He is steady and faithful and has always worked hard to provide for us. He never complains even when times are tough. I don't think I've ever heard him say an unkind word about someone else. He is very quiet however, so he doesn't say much at all most of the time!
He will always go the extra mile and would give you the shirt off his back. He loves me and loves our kids. He is a man of integrity and if he's your friend, he's your friend forever. We've been married 39 years and I love him. He is not perfect and there are times when we don't agree about things. But as Ruth Graham who was Billy Graham's wife once said, "If two people agree about everything in a marriage, one of them is unecessary."
So today I am thankful for my husband. What are you thankful for?

Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tribute to your husband. You are very blessed to have such a wonderful marriage.
I too am thankful for my husband. He is kinda quiet, and we don't always share the same interests, but he always supports me in whatever I do!
Aw, what a nice tribute!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi -
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tribute to your hubby. You also described my sweetheart. We are very blessed! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for leaving your sweet greetings. Wish you lived close enough to join me on the patio one of these summer evenings.

Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful husband also. We have been married for 34 years. We have gone through good times (birth of our two sons) and bad times (loss of our 20 year old son five years ago. My Heavenly Father has been my strength and He gave me my husband to hold me through those times.
He will be retiring in Sept. after 41 years with the railroad, and I am so excited for him. He has worked very hard providing for our family.
He is the love of my life.
Thank you for your wonderful blog...I enjoy reading it each day.

Rhondi, Sweet man, your dh. Your description so described my Bill. I would say we are pretty lucky gals. Of course, we argue over things like spreading mulch the right way, or which is the best way to go somewhere. :) We have been married 45 years. Lucky you, lucky me. Thanks for making me think about all the wonderful traits of a truly good man.
ReplyDeleteLove ya, Jeanne
Hey, I think we married the same guy at the same time! We've been married 39 years too. And we certainly don't agree on all things - but goals are the same and we keep moving toward them. Even though he tells me often, "Quite thinking." - he will still build whatever I want or complete a project I've dreamed up.
ReplyDeleteSeems like there are a few good men out there! I am so glad to hear it.

I also wanted to say that I think your "found" wicker table is charming. I can't wait to see how you spruce it up and where you use it!
I'm thankful for my husband today too. He's a gem..always thinking of how to please me and I take it all for granted! I'm having a good time spinning wool this afternoon. A trip to Michael's craft store is in order this evening. I want to get a copy of the new 'Spin Off' magazine with my coupon. =)
ReplyDeleteGreat Thankful Thursday post. I am thankful for my husband too ~ sounds like our hubbies have the same traits :-}
ReplyDeleteI've passed a blog award on to you today :-}

I'm glad you have had 33 wonderful years. I'm thankful this Thursday that my hubby didn't mind my not cooking dinner. And I'm thankful for Ruth Graham's humor.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lallee
I can feel your love, peace, and contentment right through the blog. I think some of it rubbed off.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful I didn't have a heart attack with those fools at the clinic/ER yesterday! Yikes! Try hard not to get sick. They'll put you in a room and forget you exist!

Today I'm thankful for my husband's generous heart as he checks on our daughter who has borrowed our camper, for his height as he washes my car since I can't reach the top, and for his strong arms for moving my sewing table so the air conditioning vent was a little more accessible! Blessings, marlene
