Pansies

I just love pansies! Right outside my studio door I have several planters filled with pansies and hostas. Every morning I deadhead the wilted blooms and pick fresh pansies for my little vases on my kitchen windowsill.
This flower block is the perfect vase for pansies. The delft vases are great for pansies too.
I also have a planter full of these pretty violas. I just love the thin black stripes on each one. It looks like someone has painted each one! Pansies are so cheerful. Hope my pansies cheer your day!

  1. Oh Rhondi, pansies are my absolute favourite flower, next to sweet peas. I just have to have both in my garden. I love to see their sunny little faces looking up at me!

  3. Oh I love pansies! I was just telling another blog friend that I can't grow them 'cause the bunnies seem to eat them all! I'm glad I can enjoy yours!

  4. So pretty, Rhondi. I love pansies too and have pots of them right outside all of my doors. I don't think to cut them very often, however. Yours look so cheery on your windowsill. Since I am planning to work out in my garden today I am going to end my gardening session with cutting some pansies to bring into my kitchen. Thanks for the inspiration.

  20. Hi! I found your blog while blog-hopping from a friend's blog to a pink saturday blog to yours. I've looked back quite a few pages into your archives, and I love your photography, decorating style, quilts (I quilt a bit, too, but not nearly as elaborately as you!), etc. I will definitely be back! :)

  21. Hi Rhondi,

I do love pansies! how I wish they would grow at my house, but alas my home faces into the sun most of the day so I do not have enough shade for them.
I believe pansies are not poisonous to pets or children, so a great family friendly plant.
    Enjoy your day,
    Elizabeth
