There is a new book just out called Blogging For Bliss by Tara Frey. I found out about it because Kim's blog Daisy Cottage, which is my absolute favorite blog is featured in it. To celebrate Blogging for Bliss, Kari, of the Artsy Mama blog , who is also featured in the book, is graciously hosting a fabulous party! You can visit her blog for all of the festivities and then visit all of those who are joining in on the party fun!
I never knew when when I posted this photo of a fern in my home what a wonderful journey I had begun! I thought a blog would be a creative and fun way of recording my ordinary life.
Little did I know when I invited you for that first cup of tea on our deck how much bliss blogging would give me. You came for tea that first day and you've come back again and again.
Sometimes I wonder, why do I write this blog? I don't have anything profound or new to say, but just the ordinary things of life. But that's what life is about really isn't it? It's not the big moments, but the little things that make up a life. You leave your wonderful comments and I feel like I am making a connection with people outside my little world.
Yes, blogging is my bliss. Thanks for being a part of it!
Rhondi xo
I think you have expressed what so many of us feel. It's a connection that someone would not understand if they are not involved. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've put it so well, Rhondi. Before I started I couldn't understand why anyone would bother. It really is a blissful occupation.
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason we have decided to write a blog, I am grateful for the phenomenon. You said it all so well...it has become our bliss...our connection to each other.
ReplyDelete♥, Susan
Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteIt is so true , just sitting down and writing whats on your heart that day is so nice. But when others comment back true bliss. Carol
We enjoyed our visit very much...your music was the cherry on the top! Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteStop by some time, we'd love to have you over!
Clara & Marcela
And thanks for sharing a little peek into your world too Rhondi! Your blog is always so beautiful and delightful. It is always a pleasure to visit with you :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to see your header. I inherited a Dainty Blue teacup from my mother. It was an engagement gift to her in the 50's. I have been on a hunt over the years and am enjoying the acquisition of several more teacups. the tea pot and cream and sugar. This pattern resonates love and happy memories!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to meet you at the party today!
Hi from San Francisco, Rhondi -

ReplyDeleteSometimes I become so involved with people I've never met, that i wonder if my hubby and my family think I am nuts. Then, they say something like, "Oh, mom, just look at all these blue dishes...wouldn't __________just love that!!" and I know they understand how much I've grown to love a lot of blogging friends. It IS amazing and I just LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteI sure am glad you started blogging because I sure have enjoyed knowing you and seeing a little of your life. I wish I had known about this Bliss deal..I sure would have joined in. Just one I missed, tho.
