I've cut them all in 2 1/2" strips. Then I've sewn the strips together.
Then I cut each strip into 2 1/2" widths and sewed those together .
I made a whole bunch and sewed them into bigger strips until I have something that looks like this.
It's kind of crazy really, I am taking perfectly good fabric and cutting it up and then sewing it back together again! Basically I am making my own fabric. I'm not going to tell you what I'm making, but I will tell you it's NOT a quilt.
It will probably be next week before I get it finished, so you'll just have to wait until then to see what I'm up to!
I hope you are having a GREAT day.
Rhondi xo
PS I've been experimenting with the look of the blog so bear with me as I try different ideas.

I love reading your blogs and everytime I visit I think back to when my son was only 4 years old and out of no where sung that song It's a Wonderful World at his grandfathers furneral for the life of us we never could figure out how he knew all the words and I asked him about it he told me momma singing is good for your soul.

OK, Rhondi. I can't wait to see what you are making. I can tell it is going to be wonderful. I love the blue shirt material. I have some swatches saved away with some ideas incubating. Next time you are at Hyacinth For The Soul, take a look back at my first post. You might find it of interest. It is a bow tie quilt I made from wool swatches.
ReplyDeleteLove your site. ~ Sarah
You baited the hook and I have bitten. I'll be back ;-)
ReplyDeleteI bet you are making a tablecloth. I am anxious to see the finished project.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS! Have fun! I just finished a charm postage stamp top which needs quilted but am having to put it off as we have vacation now and are off for a few days tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHugs ~

Rhondi, I'm betting you are making either a tablecloth or a jacket which would be as cute as can be out of that neat fabric. If not that, then are you going to upholster something in it??? Tell us soon! LOL!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
