Front Porch Party

Good morning

It is a beautiful day here. The kind of day that I'd like to just sit on the porch and read a book all day. When I showed you photos of my front porch a couple of days ago Beverly suggested I have a front porch party. This is a darling porch isn't it? Not mine.So I am going to use Beverly's idea and host my First Annual Front Porch Party, next Thursday June 5.

All you have to do is leave a comment on any post between now and then. Then on June 5, post photos of your front porch and my post that day will include links to all your blogs so we can all visit eachother. If you don't have front porch, feel free to show us your "dream" porch!

I have posted a picture on the side which you can use to tell others about it. Hope lots of you will join in on the fun and tell all your friends.

By the way did you know that today is Hug Your Cat Day?

Have a great weekend.
Rhondi xo

  2. Hi Rhondi,
These American porches are so wonderfull.I always wished for one but here in Belgium people don't have porches. I feel this as a big miss. They give a friendly face to a house.
    Have an nice weekend

  5. That is a wonderful idea~ too many people don't appreciate the lure of the front porch :-)
Is it really? "Oh, girls! Miz Rhondi says I have permission to hug you today; don't give me that look- hugs are good for you!" Obviously, I have a couple squirmy cats- they love pets & scritches on the chin, but hugging is low on the tolerance grid :-P

  6. Oh what fun Rhondi! I will send you a photo...but how? Where to?

PS I only have a virtual cat, but will sned him a hug!

  9. I love that porch you posted. This should be a fun party! I really don't have much of a porch. It's more like a strip of patio in front. Can we show decks? It's kind of a side porch, lol.

  10. Hi Rhondi~
Great Idea! I am going to try to participate. My front porch is really my front deck, but I will try to spruce it up. I am going to mark this on my calendar.. and grab your link and post it so others will know...

  15. Hi Rhondi, Bea here. First time I've visited your blog, thanks to the link I found at Marie's Oak Cottage blog. The front porch party sounds inviting. I'd really love to come to your front porch, though! I don't have a real porch, one that anyone can access from the outside. Mine is a front deck, overlooking our front yard. But it's a quiet place to stand or sit and talk with my husband or friends. I'll participate! And I invite you to come visit me anytime you have a few minutes. Welcome to my neighborhood! bea

  31. Hi Rhondi, nice to *meet* you! I found your lovely blog via Life On Bonnie Lane. The porch party is an awesome idea! That yellow porch is gorgeous, but so is your brick one. I love your porch floor, and neighbor Norman is a hoot. (Dontcha love that name, lol!)
Nice post about your sister, she is so pretty. Reminds me of someone.
Is that blue and white tea set in your sidebar yours? I love it, do you know the pattern?
I just loaded photos of my home and porch this week. It will look much different in a few weeks~

I'm super excited to share something that my middle son just made for me for Mother's Day and I just finished it up over the weekend. I added a few of my treasures to it and the neighbors are loving it. I'll take a pic and have it for all of you to see tomorrow.
