A Prize in the Mail

My prize from Penny at Lavender Hill Studio arrived today! It was all wrapped in lavender (of course) tissue paper and tied with a pretty custom satin bow. There was a smaller package too.
Look what was inside. Isn't it fabulous!! My favorite colors, and in the blue willow pattern which I just love. My everyday china is blue willow. Penny even put a pretty photo of a sunflower in it. I am not sure what I will put there. Maybe a mirror or a picture of the grandkids.
Penny always has a butterfly with her initials somewhere on her work.
She also sent me this lavender soap that smells divine!

And a copy of the latest issue of Victoria magazine. Just looking at the cover I knew I was going to enjoy that issue: blue and white!!
Not sure where I'll put my beautiful frame. Maybe on the mantle in our living room, for now at least!


Thanks Penny. I love everything! Actually I couldn't wait to thank her so I already talked with her this morning. She was hard at work creating another beautiful custom order for some lucky people.

We are having a beautiful sunny day here, the kind of day you want to open all the windows and let the fresh air inside. Hope you are enjoying your day too.

    It was so much fun talking with you on the phone this morning! Sorry I had to go so quickly, because of the other call :-(.

    I am so glad you liked the mosaic frame. I had so much fun making it for you! And the magazine - I knew it would be perfect for you because of the blue and white china, and also if I remember correctly don't you like the author Jan Karon - The Midford Series author? There is an article in there about her.

    Rhondi, that is an absolutely gorgeous frame and I'm sure you'll treasure it always! I'd put a very special photo inside of it and keep it on the mantle piece where you have it now -- it looks so nice. Penny does such beautiful work! You are very lucky to have won her prize! "-)

    I think your mosiac frame is gorgeous!And lavender soap...is there another fragrance so special? I am enjoying this issue of Victoria so much. that article by Jan Karon is just such a treat! Isn't it great that we can 'share' things via the blogs with pictures and posts. I love it...smile.

    Your prize is really beautiful. Penny does wonderful work! I cannot think of a sweeter person than you to have won it too. I know you will treasure this specially made blue and white piece which fits in perfectly with you other items.
