I have the most wonderful sister. She is my best friend. We laugh at the same things and cry over the same things. She is always there for me. There aren't many days that go by without us having a good long chat on the phone. There is only one thing wrong with her . She lives too far away! She is the best sister in the world and today I am thankful for her. I love you sis.
What are you thankful for today?
Rhondi xo
Hi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post! I miss my sisters very much! I'm so blessed to have had them as long as I did.
Hugs, Sherry
Rhondi, What a lovely photo of your sister. Sisters are a wonderful gift. My sister Susan and Lynne live far away also, but we too talk all the time. A wonderful reminder of how thankful I am for them. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Karen
Thank you for this post today Rhondi! It is so nice to see your sister as I know how close you are to her. Remember to count this blessing each and every day as you never know what tomorrow brings.

Love the blue glass in your new look! I don't have any sisters but I have very good friends that feel like sisters and I'm thankful for them! PAM
ReplyDeleteWonderful Thankful Thursday post Rhondi. I love your next door neighbours cat Norman too :-}
ReplyDeleteYou are so very fortunate Rhondi, treasure each other.
ReplyDeleteI did your tag!
How wonderful that you and your sister are so close.
ReplyDeleteI am an only child, but I am thankful for the women in my life that I treasure.
Hello! I wish my sister was around... she is too far away! (Brazil) By the way, I loved the new banner! Hugs! Vanessa
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! There is nothing quite like a sister. I'm so blessed to have two wonderful sisters. I live with my one sister. She is the oldest. My other sister lives about 15 mins away and we see each other several times a week and talk on the phone everyday several times. She is the middle sister and I'm the youngest.
ReplyDeleteThey are my best friends. I would be lost without them.
Of course I'm also very blessed to have my brother too. I love him with all my heart. He lives about an hour from me and I used to see him every other month or so but we talked on the phone a lot. Now he is in the hospital with a stroke and I go spend the day with him about 3-4 times a week.
Hugs to you,
Joanne

Rhondi, your sis is lovely and I know you miss seeing her often. I don't have a sister, just one brother who lives in France now. We are close though - always have been even though 3000+ miles have separated us for so many years. It's always wonderful when siblings continue the closeness of childhood into adulthood - just knowing they are there for you whatever happens.
ReplyDeleteToday I am thankful for many things. First my health which I try so hard to support, being cancer survivor. My brand new neighbor was hospitalized yesterday with pneumonia and the lung x-rays are not good and she's awaiting CAT scan results. This lady is so sweet but is a chain smoker - I am so concerned about her.
Also thankful that dh returns from NY tonight - even though I wanted some time alone I'm missing him terribly for some reason!!!!
Loved the post about your pretty porch and Norman's decorating assistance. Your home is always so pretty.
Hugs - your friend Mary.
Can I be thankful for my sister, too? We just spent five days together traveling to a conference (for her) and to visit family (for both of us). We laughed until we cried, we prayed together, and we talked a family problem to death. We spent time just being there with each other. I love her so very much.
ReplyDeleteYour new banner is so pretty!! How nice that you and your sister are so close.

Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a special blessing to have a sister to be friends with? My sister lives an eight hour drive away from me and I wish it was eight minutes. I'm thankful for phones and email!

I would have loved a sister, although I have got a very nice brother! I am so glad you get on so well with yours. Can you swap clothes? x
ReplyDelete........and I'm thankful for my two sisters. One lives 5 minutes away and the other lives 6 hours by air. Where does your sister live?
ReplyDeleteYou sister lloks so nice and cheerful!! I bet you miss her. My 3 sisters live 8 hours away. I love and miss them, too!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful you came by my blog when you did---it was a breath of fresh air during a very hard time. It was God sent. I appreciate the tiny gifts He gives me. You were there for me that day---You know when God gives you chances and you know that you have missed them and you can't get them back---well this is one time that you got the chance to make someones day and you did. You made my day that day. You encouraged me and it made all the difference. You listened to God that day and it was a small gift with big consequences. Thank you.
