Cock a Doodle Doo Rooster Party

DSC03453

Cook a doodle doo. Rise and shine. It's "Show Us Your Roosters Party " time. Barb at Bella Vista is hosting this fun party, so be sure to visit her to see the list of all the other party goers.

This white rooster is the newest addition to my collection. I got it at Olde Tyme Marketplace in Marshville NC. It's a wonderful shop owned by Beth, who also has a blog of the same name.

This proud gentleman sits on the deck. I wish he would do a better job of scaring the deer away.DSC01425

These two were every happy together until I dropped the colorful one and broke it beyond repair!

This is the oldest one in my collection.

This lamp rooster is my most recent find at a garage sale awhile ago. My newset and oldest sit on the red hutch in our kitchen.

I didn't set out to collect roosters. Did you? They just sort of followed me home and then all of a sudden I seemed to have a collection!

Thanks for coming to visit me and my roosters. Now scoot on over to Bella Vista and join the party.

  3. Hi Rhondi!

Love your roosters, especially the "guard rooster" on your deck! At least he's handsome, even if not very good at his "job"!

Sorry about the colorful one, it was beautiful.

  6. Gorgeous cocky roosters, each one!
Yesterday I found a tin rooster candleabra at a junk shop for $3, so roosters have been much on my mind. I think I'll sear some cream paint on my new find and use it outside.

  10. Good morning Rhondi. thank you for your visit to my deck/wildlife post. I am feeling better each day from the shingles. Thank you for your sweet comment.

I love your roosters and even though you didn't start out collecting, you have a very nice collection. Your red hutch looks terrific. I love the way you displayed everything. The white rooster is also very attractive.

We have deer, bears, turkeys foxes, groundhogs, etc. We live next to a wildlife preserve. LOL. The only neighbor I have is my sister. She is my backyard neighbor. Thus my blog name.

Have a fun day visiting the rooster party.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  17. Hi Rhondi, Oh your kitchen is a dream come true, especially with the blue willow and roosters. Love the red hutch. What a gorgeous display of roosters you have. I adore the white roosters and inspired to add a few to my decor. The paper towel holder is from Home Goods a few months ago. Hope you find one!!

Yes, my roosters sort of adopted into my new style too and I find myself drawn to them.

Thank you for stopping by. I have enjoyed catching up with you. It has been a busy summer. Hope you had a nice season and looking forward to cooler days.

I am in the process of cleaning and tweeking my dining room and when I saw your red hutch with your blue dishes, I knew that I needed to put RED over my white beadboard in the back of my red hutch. I will put fabric there until I know for sure I want it that color...thnks for the inspiration, girlfriend. Wish you were here to help me so mine would be as cute as YOURS!!!

Most of the roosters in our home belong to my mother. She is the rooster lady in our house. But, since we live together, I have grown to like her roosters, and I have added a few. Like my pink rooster. ;-)
