Bonjour

DSC08207

Bonjour. I missed you! We were away this weekend. Do you know where this is?DSC08131

We went on a Duck Tour

DSC08133

We walked around a college campus.

Did you guess Boston? The first photo is of the finish line for The Boston Marathon and the college is Harvard.

But we didn’t go to sightsee. We went to visit our son and his wife and to go to a baby shower for them. They are having a boy and they have chosen orange and blue for his room. They like very contemporary style, so this is the quilt I made for them. They loved it.

Their baby is due the end of November and we are so excited. It's their first baby and our 4th grandchild.

The “BONJOUR” teapot was something I purchased for only $3 when I went to some of the shops in Monroe which I posted about here.

Now I’m off to see what y’all have been up to while I’ve been gone.

  3. A handmade quilt is so special. It is perfect for the new baby. My grandmother made one for my first. Grandma is gone now and that baby has a teen of her own, but I still treasure granedma's quilt. I know they will too.

  17. What a pretty, brightly colored quilt! The baby should love it! Congratulations. I have two grandkids of my own. My little grandson loves to cook (he's almost six). I've been shopping for a chef's hat for him! Oh, it's so much fun to send them things in the mail! Especially if you don't get to see them very often.

  26. Welcome home, Rhondi - I'm so glad you were able to get away for the weekend and be a part of the shower for your new grandbaby. How exciting! Congratulations - I can't wait to see him when he arrives. We were away over the weekend, too, but not for such a sweet event! My sweetheart went hunting on the opposite side of our state and Joey and I went with him. It was cold but fun to be with family and friends again. ~Adrienne~
