Metamorphosis Monday

Pic for Body of Blog3[1]
Every Monday Susan at Between Naps on a Porch hosts Metamorphosis Monday. Since I just finished a little transformation project I thought I'd join in today!
I bought some padded hangers this morning, 7 of them for $1.50. They were all clean but tired looking, so...

I recovered them. I happened to have some cute black dot fabric and black checked ribbon enough to complete two of them. I think they turned out great!

I have lots more fabric with dots but I'll have to buy some more ribbon before I can do the rest. They are really going to spruce up my closet!
Make sure you visit Susan and see what other metamorphoses are happening today.
Happy Monday!

  2. Really pretty hangers, Rhondi!! I have a "rule" for my closet-- "If the article of clothing doesn't merit a pretty, padded hanger, it doesn't need to grace my pretty, padded self!! ;)"
    Soft hug,

  3. This is so precious, Rhondi! The hangers are just too cute to put away! I'd leave them out somewhere.

  4. Like SHELIA, these are too cute to put behind closed doors. Get a cute shelf with knobs on the bottom and hang these pretty things out for all to see!! GOOD JOB!

  5. Adorable! I love black and white, and dots too. It's a shame to cover them up and hide them in the closet!

  7. Those are so nice...I think the dots are perfect for the project...too nice to put in a closet! I could see them used as part of a laundry room decor (for those lucky people with nice laundry rooms!)

  13. Rhondi,
Those hangers are so pretty! Can you share how you recovered them...I mean, did you redo the batting or just recover them as they were? And did you make two sleeves, one for each side?

  20. Hi Rhondi, I have been away too long. Lots of company this month and little time for visiting. The story of my life.

Your hangers are adorable. I love the quilt underneath them too. A much prettier look for sure.

I said I would let you know about Nov. 7th. I'm afraid it is another football weekend and we will be in Fl. I would have loved to meet you for lunch. Hopefully another time. I truly am sad not to be there.

Have fun doing the rest of your bargain hangers.

    Hugs, Jeanne
