The Bloggers Have Spoken

Thank you all so much for your response to my question about painting my furniture.  So many of you left me a comment and I felt like I had my own personal interior design team! The consensus was overwhleming in favor of white.  So I followed your advice and  here it is.  Sorry about the quality of the photo.  It is very dull today and I didn't want to use a flash.

I am using my old blue check cloth until I can make something else and I gathered a few things from around the house that feel like spring.  I am looking forward to spring arriving so while I'm waiting I'll use fake flowers for some more color.  Just a nice soft spring look.

I can easily change the whole look next time by adding red, or all yellow,  or green, or black & white  or...

I'm so happy with how it turned out.  You were right about the white.    It means a lot to me that you care enough to take the time to leave a comment and express your opinion.   Thank you so much. You are the greatest!!

  4. Rhondi,
Have had two busy weeks and not been able to blog hop much until today. I love the white! I love white to begin with, but the white table and chair looking out to the view is beautiful. So soothing. I also like you knew header. Those bottles just sparkle and make me smile. But then so did you pretty blue an white dishes. You have to promise to use them in a tablescape on your new white dinning set so I can see them again! You did an amazing job painting. I could just sit there all day and look outside. Such a soothing, peaceful room to be in. Lucky you!

  6. A beautiful transformation indeed! I hope you will share you painting process with us. I have imprinted chairs just like your and have often thought of painting them. I have considered painting my pedastal table, but the wood grain is remarkable...It would be a tough decision. ~Kelly

  10. Dear Rhondi,
I didn't have a chance to chime in on the paint project but you have a total winner in the all white! I am inspired (again) to head on down to my garage and work on my huge table once again. It's almost warm enough today to be comfortable.

  20. Turned out great! You can't go wrong with white, I don't think.

And btw, I was sitting outside this morning imagining how I'm going to hang all my spring flowers.

It's funny. When it's winter, we want spring. When it's spring, we want summer and when it's summer, we can't wait for fall.

I set reflecting how wonderful it is that God created seasonal diversity.
P.S. I learned to make meatless chili and peanut butter cookies. Um, the peanut butter cookies didn't turn out so well. They looked sort of ugly and I used Splenda and not real sugar, which I suspect had something to do with it. What do you think?

And your floral yellow accents. In our blue and white rooms, we used some yellow, but mostly fushias. In pillows.
