A couple of weeks ago I decided to do a post each Wednesday featuring all white. I mentioned that it was my way to "indulge my yearning for white without redoing my whole house." Well after only 3 white posts I realize that my love of color is just too strong to be denied. When I used only white with this table and chairs it looked lovely but I miss the color that I usually have on it! So this will be my final Wednesday Whites post. Kathleen at Faded Charm is hosting one too and she's been doing it it for along time, so it seems rather redundant for me to do it also. I know she would be happy to have you join her there.
I set the table for lunch today.
I'll fill the tureen with some nice hot soup for a cold day
By the way some of you commented on the rain in a previous photo of this table. It's not raining. The seal on the window is broken so on a sunny day there is moisture between the two sheets of glass.
I'll make a nice crisp green salad.
We'll have to take turns having the soup if I want to keep to the white because I only have one of these white bowls!
Some fake flowers. Shh...don't tell the decorating gurus about that! It's a no no.
The sun is shining. It's a perfect day for lunch with a friend. Will you join me?
So good bye white, you're a great color and I love you, but you just look too lonely all by yourself.
Click here if you have a white post and want to participate in Kathleen's White Wednesday.

I love the look of all white but, like you, I miss color! We couldn't live long with all white - it would be gray or tan from the things we do! ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteIm so sorry to hear that you will not be doing this any more your pictures are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove the table setting.
I'm with you, Rhondi, the white is lovely but mostly as a backdrop for COLOR! xo,
ReplyDeleteI love white, too, but I agree, one can use colour in so many ways. Your photos are, as always, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRhondi,You actually do white's justice. This is such a pretty table and a lovely tablescape. I too am a color person but I like the crispness of whites. Joan @Americana By Candlelight
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi, I adore your white-on-white table setting but when you told us recently that you were a convert to this combination I was a little disappointed as I love to visit you for a shot of colour. Not just any old colour but carefully chosen shades that always seem to mix and match so well. I confess I have taken the white paint to some of my brown furniture recently but I couldn't live without some added colour. Best wishes for England, Eli
ReplyDeleteI love color too but this white dining table and chairs gleaming in the sunshine are so lovely! Are you itching to paint them a brighter color?
ReplyDeleteRhondi, your photos are stunning--the white on white in that light! And I think the fake flowers look great--especially in a photo. Who would know if you hadn't said! Have you seen the new Romantic Country (or some such name) magazine that is all on COLOR? I saw it at WM today and browsed through it. You would love it. Richness! Stay out of the wind today, and warm! Brr! Dotsie
ReplyDeleteWhite is so pretty. But color just makes it beautiful! Your table setting is lovely. Carol
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. As lovely as your white table is, I'd never be able to replicate it in my house because I love color.
ReplyDeleteI love Mr Pig!
Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI am with you on this one. I love the look of all white too, but I don't think I can live with it. I like to many things that have color.
Pastel color mostly. I love the look of your table dressed in pretty colors. I see a lot of people are going for this, and I just can't understand. Everything just blends in, and especially if you have kids, it does get dirty.
I saw a woman on one of the blogs, and she has 5 kids, and all white in the living room.
Debbie
Beautiful photos, Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteYour white table and chairs with all the dishes are beautiful. Thansk for playing along.
ReplyDeleteKathleen
Hi Rhondi! I love your pretty white table and chairs you've painted. Just popping on some flowers will change the look so much.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Hi Rhondi....I like a lot of white but I like color with it too! I think they both need each other to set it off. ~Patti
ReplyDeleteI simply love the all heavenly whiteness of your lunch table. Wish I could do that.

How very beautiful Rhondi. I just love whites on whites. Very serene and comforting in a special way. xxoo
ReplyDeleteRhondi,
ReplyDeleteI love white, but with shades and tones and touches of pink/burgundy. However, your white table and dishes are stunning. There is nothing cold about that picture. Refreshing, Spring like and simply beautiful. That said, I just love your white wicker desk with the blue glass in the window. I always love your Dainty Blue dishes from Shelley. Have a blessed day.
Lynn
Rhondi, that is so charming and inviting. The sunlight makes it perfect. I love color too, but it's nice to have those softer areas in the home too. You have a perfect balance.
