When I look at some of the wonderful all white interiors on other blogs I just love the calm clean feeling they have. But when I try to do that in my own home....Well all I can say is I love color!!
Our bedroom is very peaceful, soft blues and lots of white, but the rest of the house looks like a box of crayons.
On the table in our front hall.
I'm a pastel person but your rooms and decor are beautiful. Variety is the spice of life I always say.
ReplyDeleteLove your snow pictures too.
Charlotte
I love the colours in your home. I am a colour person too. And your quilts are beautiful. Full of colour. Freddy Moran style. I am busy with two coloured quilts too at the moment. Need to finish them soon. I use that black and white dotted fabric in my coloured quilt too. Funny.
ReplyDeleteI often look at those all-white rooms with envy too, Rhondi - but then I know I'd be adding colour pretty fast! I'd be cold in an all-white room.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I love color. I am also inspired by white or neutral and could be very happy to vacation in rooms like those, but to live in...giving me big bursts of red, or blue, or lavender....you are such a kindred spirit.

Your color choices for your home are wonderful. I love your fabric cabinet, so organized & colorful! You can see in a glance what you have in your inventory.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Carol
I love all the colors in your rooms!
ReplyDeleteEspecially the blue/white in your living room!
Yes, these white rooms look wonderful in magazines or on tv but I'm afraid in our house white just looks stark and cold. I think you have a wonderful, unique sense of colour. Your house just cries out "This is ME".

Your home and color choices are so beautiful! I love color...I use reds, yellows...etc.
ReplyDeleteBut, I also love the Swedish look of the whites, greys and pale blues. I wish I had two homes, so I could have both looks!
Hugs,
Penny
love your colors.

Your colors are beautiful. I would feel very alive in your home - they feel rich and exciting.
ReplyDeleteI love color, too! We just had our kitchen painted RED...so now I am trying to figure out something unique for above the cabinets. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I love the serenity of the white homes that gals share on here but I need color. Yours is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteyou are obviously just a very 'colourful' person!! lol Judith
ReplyDeleteWow ,that workshop must have been wonderful. I have their book Collaborative quilting and I love it.Do you have a place on the net where I can see more of your quilts?
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi! I just loved the little tour of your home with all the vibrant colors! I say this because I'm a colorphobic! ;-) I am really trying to think outside the box and your pictures are great inspiration... I love the white on white look, but I also think some of it is over rated. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Also, love the cabinet with all your fabric, so cute!

Hi Rhondi :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! I love all white rooms, but I could never have one, because of my love for color. Isn't wonderful that we can travel through Blogland and dream about those white rooms though? :)
I read your post about leaving comments and I completely understand. I try so hard to keep up, but it's nearly impossible. That's why you left comment for me on the 13th and I'm just now leaving you one today LOL Don't worry about it! You are NOT alone ;)
(((hugs)))

Your post sounds just like me talking to myself. I look at those pictures of the beautiful all white rooms, and I think, "Laurie, how peaceful; why do you have all of this color in your home when you could have peaceful, beautiful rooms like this". But when I try removing some of the color, I am not happy. These pictures of your colorful home make me happy too. laurie
ReplyDeleteColor is good .... VERY good!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Rhondi! I love color too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Hugs,
Donna
Somehow I understand completely what you mean, chickee!!! I look at those homes and will try to get mine to look that way but somehow mine always comes out "ME"!!
ReplyDeleteSmooches,
Connie
I am just like you Rhondi, those whote rooms look so pretty but I ma never happy with white in my home. I painted the bedroom white last year and, well, I am already comtemplating which color of green it has to be this year! lol
ReplyDeleteI just cant do white! I think the vibrant colors of your home is one of the reasons I love coming here to visit:>)
Rhondi, you aren't alone! I love color, too. It makes me happy! I am madlly in love with your quilts in your TV room. Did you make them? I just think they are FABULOUS. Give me color!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
Your colors are beautiful!! The cabinet where you store your fabric is like a store that I would like to shop at!!! I would love to have all that fabric in all those beautiful colors, arranged so perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteI love your colorful home Rhondi! Thanks for sharing your pics.
ReplyDeleteDiane
I'm with you, I love color too. I'm thinking of doing an all white bathroom in the basement. We'll see. Mimi
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, I drool over those beautiful white or pastel photos, but don't think I could live in it all the time. Well, I know my husband couldn't for sure!
ReplyDeleteKatherine
I love your house! It looks gorgeous and warm and welcoming. :)

Don't you ever change a thing about your blog Rhondi! I love all the colours and I love your home! Simply beautiful, just like you!
ReplyDeleteHello Sweet Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by! If you ever want/need some more crocheted dishcloths, just let me know!

Maryjane
Oh Rhondi, my sentiments exactly. I love the calming of white rooms and there are so many out there in blogland. A box of crayons is a wonderful description of my house also. Your home is beautiful and its an extension of you so please don't 'go white' (it wouldn't suit you)! Eli
ReplyDeleteRhondi, your colorful post caught my eye. I too love color. I believe it makes a huge difference in decorating.
ReplyDeleteYour color today makes me smile BIG. It all looks wonderful.
I also think your 'Winter for the day' post is perfect to describe NC snow. Except this week. ^-^ My grands were here to play in the snow ans ski. Mother nature sure snowed just right and hung around a few days.
Hugs...Jeanne
Oh, Rhondi, I LOVE your house - it is gorgeous! It's so cheerful and happy! Mine is one of the "almost" all white ones with some soft colors mixed in... I was at Target last night with my daughter and they have a new line of kitchen and bath items that are GORGEOUS and COLORFUL... My daughter was with me and I told her I was so drawn to the bold, bright colors! Could my tastes be changing? I don't know, but I sure love how you decorate! ... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage
ReplyDeleteAnd your box of crayons is BEAUTIFUL..... in every room
