Sometimes I wonder who visits me here at Rose Colored Glasses and where you have come from. I have a counter so I know people visit but it's kind of like this hosta from our garden. There is evidence of a visitor, in this case the deer, but I seldom get to see them. They come and go without me knowing. I know they live in the woods , but not exactly sure where.
Our neighbor's sweet cat, Norman, comes over here a lot and hangs around. He must enjoy being here or else he wouldn't drop by so much. But being a cat, he often pays no attention to me, just sleeps under our bushes for awhile and then leaves . Occasionally he'll let me pet him, and I just love it when he does!
So this morning I am wondering who reads my blog? The counter that I have says I have lots of visitors each day, but I wonder if it's accurate. If you visit today I'd love to know and I'd like to visit you too. Sometimes I wonder.....who's out there and where are you from?
Hope you have a great weekend.
Rhondi xo
Hi Rhondi, I'm stopping in for a chat and a look at your poor hostas. I do want to say that when you leave a comment on my blog, I would like to reply and comment back, but your profile isn't linked back to your blog. I just want you to know that I do appreciate your visits and your comments.
ReplyDeleteBTW, good for your mother to be concerned that the purple loosestrife is chocking out the marshes.
Hi Rhondi !
ReplyDeleteBoth you and I are curious about this.....I wish there was a better tracker.....I am in Colorado !
Hugs ! Kammy
Hey Sweets,
ReplyDeleteYour poor hosta..those deer sure are stealthy and it does not even look crushed. I'm from Pickering, near Toronto Canada.
Have a fabulous weekend!!
Hugs Nerina :)
Hi Rhondi,I am Jen from jennifers Petal Palace and I love reading your blog. Can't always comment cause I'm on dial up and things don't always load to fast.Norman is a cutie. My brother has 3 ornage cats.Mine are pretty much all gray. Most were strays or needing a home and I ended up with them.Have a wonderful weekend.I enjoyed your porch party.I wanted to join it but I was having lots of computer problems that week.Hugs,Jen
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteI live in Mississippi. Though I am a transplant from N. California. I love the picture of Norman. What a nice cool area he has to visit! :o) I can appreciate the deer nibbling on your plants, we have bunnies on our property and so far they have stayed out of our garden! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
I think I must make so much noise when I come you always know when I visit Rhondi!! I get lots of visitors that never tell me they're visiting too. I am like you, I would just love to know who they are!
ReplyDeleteHey Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteI am from Pittsburgh,PA and found your blog during the Porch Party.
I hope my neighbors feel as you do about visiting cats. Mine seem to enjoy ducking under the fence to visit. They bring moles back with them, so it must be good hunting ground over there. My blog is new and just getting started so there isn't much to see on it yet. Hope you have a blessed weekend.
Alicia
I agree with you Rhondi. I too get visitors and wonder who they are. It is so amazing how we can reach across the world via the internet and blogging. I do so love to read the comments from visitors. You know I visit you every time you post, because you are on my google reader :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi! Well, it's no secret that I visit her, you're on my google reader so I see your posts every time you put one up:>) I often wonder about all those "lurkers" who stop and what they think or if they came to my blog by accident. Hope everyone gives you a hello so you can see who was here!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi! Well you KNOW where I live! You have been here :-). I always leave a comment when I visit you.

Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI come over read and enjoy. I always wonder the same thing. Folks, visit but then move on.
Wonder what goes on in their lives.
Hi:
ReplyDeleteI have been visiting you for a long time, so I think you know I am from Ohio. You told me how to find the album with the last Wonderful World on it and I love it. This version is also good.
That cat is just beautiful.
Nancy
I am one of your "unknown visitors" because I have yet to start a blog-- I am still learning computer and do not have a blog of my own. I enjoy visiting and do not always leave comments because I do not understand openID if I do not have a blog. I usually just use anonymous but some blogs do not have even have that. It is very intimidating this blogging when you are still getting use to the computer and lately it has been acting up with pop ups!
ReplyDeleteRhondi - I enjoy your blog and your Porch Party and Thankful Thursday-- I hop in all the time cause I enjoy your blog! Thanks for letting me!

Hi, While I do not have a blog I really enjoy visting them. I am not sure how I stumbled upon yours, but love it. I am in Phoenix and can only appreciate all of the "green"
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi, I am Debbie from Seymour, Texas, where the stars and sun shine bright and the sky is huge and blue.

Hi Rhondi.....The deer chewed off my new rose blooms the other night...hate that when it happens but they must have been too delectable to walk away from! I am from Zanesville, Ohio!
ReplyDelete~Patti
You are on my list here in France Rhondi, and your blog is one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm from Southern California and I visit you almost every day. Sometimes I think no one visits me. Maybe I need a counter, too.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Susan

Check my blog - I have a tracker on mine to see where people come from - it's very easy to add. Come and see me and get it! PAM
ReplyDeleteHi there! I don't have a counter, have no idea who actually reads my blog. Not even certain I need to know at this point. My son tells me this is a way for generations to come to know who I was and what I was about. Funny to think our words are 'out there' for eternity if we so wish to keep writing.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI'm Rhonda, from Temecula, CA...I can't remember how I first found your blog, but I've got you on my "Blogs I Like" list and I visit you every couple of days. Weird, isn't it? How we peek into each other's lives, but don't really feel like strangers?! My blog is fairly new, so not much there yet, but stop by anytime!
Before I had a blog, I rarely commented because I didn't really feel like I "belonged." (Shades of watching the popular group in high school from the sidelines.) Now that I'm a blogger myself, I find it difficult (due to time constraints) to visit and leave a comment for everyone who comes to visit me, in addition to all my favorite blogs I read before I blogged. But I do try to make a concerted effort to comment at least every few posts.
ReplyDeleteMy stat counter tops out at 500 entries (the free version) so the oldest entries drop off. Because of that, it's hard to get an accurate count of what percentage of my visitors are regular readers and that's probably the one thing I'm most curious about.
Oh well, at least I can tell by the number of hits I get per day I'm not sitting here "talking" to myself. ;)
Dear Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a comment. I hope you start a blog soon so I can visit. Make sure you let me know!
((hugs)) Rhondi
Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI'm from the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada (think Lunenburg)! The weather here has finally cleared, and we're in for a nice day tomorrow. Love your blog and love your garden! Those deer are pesky, aren't they! I used a product called "Skoot" which I sprayed on; it's not harmful to animals, and although it left spots, nothing ate my plants afterwards. Good luck! Come visit me too! I'll have some up-to-date garden pictures soon.
I know exactly how you feel....... I too wonder....... but then I have decided I like flapping my jaws so it is kind of like therapy.... even if no one is there lol...... But yes.... you have lots of readers.... silly.... look at all those comments...... but I think there are more lurkers..... bless their little hearts...

I stopped by your blog from East Tennessee. I have a site meter on my blog. It helps you see where people are from who visit. It's really amazing to know that people from all over the world are checking out what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteYou can just click on my counter and it will take you to a site where you can get your own for free.
ReplyDeleteYour husband reads your blog and loves it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog, Rhondi, and you know I am practically around the corner!
ReplyDeleteHello Rhondi from Rhonda in Montreal, Canada!! I wonder about the story behind your unique name... ... ;)
ReplyDeleteWarm greetings,
me
Well, you know who I am, Rhondi, here by the Pond in the Pacific Northwest of Canada. I love to visit your part of the world, especially when your garden is so far ahead of mine!
ReplyDeleteHi, Rhondi~ I'm meg from meg's garden in central California.
ReplyDeleteI'm a regular "lurker" but don't comment very often~ sometimes I just need the lift of your peaceful spot :-)
Hi Rhondi it's Sharon from fiberdoodles and whimsy in Arkansas. I love your blog and you are on my sidebar. I try to visit often and leave a comment when I stop by. It's always exciting when company visits but more exciting when they leave a note. I get alot of passer-bys also and always hope they come back.
ReplyDeleteTake care and I will be seeing you,
Sharon
Here I am! I'm not here every day (darn life getting in the way of blog time) but I do read. Have you thought about a sitemeter? It won't tell you exactly who is on but I find it neat to see what parts of the world my visitors are coming from. :) Have a great rest of the weekend!
ReplyDelete~Michelle
Hello Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI have stopped by your blog thru the Romantic Home blog. I am drawn to your blog for of course you guessed it the blue china. I am from Chehalis Washington half way between Portland and Seattle. I will be flying to Charlotte N.C. for the 4th of July weekend for a wedding in Myrtle Beach. Never been to the east coast so I am so excited. I see you are from N.C.
Love your pix of blue life on your blog. Luv 2 U. Lori
You have deer??? That is so neat, we have possums and armadillos which dig deep holes in the lawn. My name is Brenda and I am from the Florida Panhandle. I just found your blog the other day and I have enjoyed reading it. Come by and see me - I am not very good at gardening or cooking - but I love to paint.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday! Inspiring!
ReplyDeleteDenise
Hi Rhondi. I love your blog and always find it so cheery. It is always so colourful and joyful. I have your blog listed on my blog as an 'interesting place to visit'.
ReplyDeleteHello from Australia :)))
Chrissie
I always wonder about the people that visit and never ever leave a comment! I don't always comment as I read alot of blogs on google reader and bloglines to save time, but I try to get around to everyone and leave a comment now and then.
ReplyDeleteManuela
Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI know you are concerned. I have personally always found your blog to be beautiful, inspirational and uplifting. Perhaps these people are shy...
I hope you don't take this to heart... I don't think stalkers as much as I think not wanting to comment because they may be new...
xoxo
Jane

Hi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteI also wonder who visits my blog. I average about 5 to 10 comments on each post. I would love it if more vistors would leave comments.
I always enjoy visiting you blog!
Carol in Oklahoma
Happy Sunday Rhondi - from good old Lincolnshire, England. I used to have a counter thing on but took it off because I couldn't make it work properly.
ReplyDeleteI'll always pop out from behind the curtains and say BOO Rhondi.
I wish we were so fortunate as to have our hostas eaten by anything so exotic as deer. It's slugs and snails that get ours!
love, Angie, xx
Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, it really is a small world, to think you grew up less than 20 miles from where I live...amazing!!'
Blessings, Nerina :)
Hey I love stopping by...All the way from Alberta, Canada! ...Keep blogging :0)
ReplyDeleteHello Rhondi,
ReplyDeletewell, lots of visitors today and they live nearby or far away.I am living in the Netherlands and try to leave a comment every time I vistit.Dear Rhondi, I hope you will have a lovely day and hopefully you can make a picture someday of the deer in your garden.
Hugs, Ingrid.
Hi, Rhondi. It's me, Beverly. And, you need to know that I always love my visits here.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi....Lois here from West MI. I enjoy your posts with all your beautiful photos....flowers, tea parties and everything. I visit often but don't make a comment as often as I should. Would you accept "ditto" as a comment? ha Usually someone has already said what I would like to say!!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi! ooops, I looked at your blog yesterday but I didn't leave a comment :-0 ....I didn't have time because we were going out so I looked at as many blogs as I could and didn't actually think I would be on today either. So today I'm leaving comments. I love your blog and you are such a sweetie. I'm from Indiana. Have a nice day! hugs, Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI wonder the same thing.
Your blog is a pleasure to visit. I love coming over to see you.
Hugs,
Donna
Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI definitely pop on to visit you, and always enjoy your blog. Love your new banner.
I visit your blog about every week. Its such a wonderful pleasant place to come to. I live in Anaheim California - very close to Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi~ I know how you feel about all these things! The deer eat our hostas too - I do see them in our back yard during the early morning and early evening and then very late at night they are in our front yard.
ReplyDeleteI also don't understand why people don't comment - just to say hi they were visiting. I think most people don't.
Oh by the way, I'm from Missouri,
I'm losing hostas again this year.......but to voles not deer. It's so frustrating! Love that kitty, can't you train him to chase the deer off!!!?
ReplyDeleteJust checking in......as I often do. I feel the blogging world is changing - too many blogs, not enough time to comment. Do you ever feel like quitting? According to a recent news article, many are throwing in the towel. I would hate to stop and lose touch with so many blog friends. As I told someone a few days ago, I blog for myself as a way of journaling and using the photos I love taking. The comments are secondary, however I do love to get them and ALWAYS appreciate them.
Here's so another great week Rhondi - lots going on as I'm minding my granddaughter and we are planning two big trips for July. I'll be on the road again!!
Hugs - Mary (ACROSS THE POND)
Hi Rhondi, I visit whenever I see you've posted, your images cheer me up. I have sitemeter on my blog which tells me a lot of information. I like to look at the world map to see which countries people come from.

I like to run through my list of blogs to get new ideas and a little break from the real world. I am a full time care giver to my handicapped daughter, also the mother of her two younger brothers who are all grown up now, much to her regret. I am a non religious person who follows another path to enlightenment.
ReplyDeleteI have payed you quite a long visit today as I play catch up on all the posts I'd missed. It's always lovely here at your blog.
