I got out of the habit of posting about something I am thankful for on Thursday but I want to start doing it again. My garden is full of weeds because we were away and we've had a lot of rain and I don't like mosquitoes. But in the midst of a very untidy garden the individual flowers still look beautiful! Here are a few of them.
That is how it is with life. Things can be going very wrong, or it can be a very stressful time and yet in the midst of it you can still find something to be thankful for, some "flowers among the weeds".
Today I am thankful that there are flowers among the weeds of my garden that is my life.
What are you thankful for today?
Rhondi xo

What a beautiful post, Rhondi! I have more to be thankful for than I could ever count. My family, of course, is at the top of my list! Have a blessed Thursday!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful and so is your post. I am thankful for my wonderful family and I still have my health.

I will join you if you do this next week. :)
ReplyDeleteUh huh. I wish you can see me nodding :-) Sometimes though it's hard especially if it has been a stressful day. You know when things really seem like everything is happening terribly. But then I realize that no, it's not all these and it doesn't stop here. I still have beautiful things happening to me :-)

I'm thankful for blogging ideas like this one that get us thinking about the things we have and take for granted that we should be thankful for...You know...things like ...I'm thankful that my kids have only got runny, snotty noses from a cold and not something worse and life threatening... Thanks for this! :)

Hi Rhondi, Your post is beautiful! Yes, we have so much to be thankful for each and every day.
ReplyDeleteToday I am thankful for coming through a tornado last night in our town. We have trees down and damage all around, but it could be so much worse. So we are thankful for only having to clean up the mess.
Have a Thankful Thursday dear friend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Oh what a sweet inspiring post. I need a good reality check sometimes and I love the pictures of your flowers. Thank you so much for this!

Hi Rhondi, this is lovely!!!!

I will have to remember this for next week!!! what a great idea. I did the 30 days contentment therapy in November...it helps us to be thankful for at least one little thing each day...
ReplyDeleteRhondi,
ReplyDeleteI too miss Thankful Thursday. I did feel like I kept posting family, family, family... which is true. What more could I ask for? But you have shown, it can be those little things hiding amongst the bad. I had to laugh because my garden is a weed paradise too because of the rain and I have yet to plant my annuals and pots (at both houses). But I am shrugging that stress off. It WILL get done!
Your picture and flowers are beautiful. Wonderful post. Have a blessed day, my friend!
xoxo

ReplyDeleteFlowers always make me happy and hopeful and thankful. Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteI agree, sometimes we forget how much we really have to be Thankful for. I find that gardening or just relaxing in my yard under the Cherry tree is so peaceful and a great time to reflect. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteThankful Thursday - what a great idea! Being thankful is a great way to keep our attitudes in check! I know it helps me - I keep a thought rock in my pocket and it reminds me to be thankful throughout the day when I see it or feel it in my pocket! It really helps me remember what is important on stressful days like today! :-) Have a great day!

I love the quilt you made the newlyweds. What a wonderful treasure you created for them. They must be thrilled.
I love Queen Anne's Lace. I'll have to keep my eye out for some.
I'm thankful that we are having the rains this year....mosquitos and all. After our 3 year drought it is nice not to have to water my containers and hanging baskets everyday...
