Yesterday I picked some hydrangeas and got out my Dainty Blue tea set...ironed and starched some fancy napkins...
put a pretty lace cloth on the table...
and had lunch with two friends.
They came at 12:00 and the next thing we knew it was 5:35! What a blessing friends are!
Today I am thankful for these two friends and I am also thankful for all of you who were so sweet and shared a cup of virtual tea with me when I was feeling sad that the grandchildren were gone.
What are you thankful for today?

Recently I read something in the paper about women and friends - these relationships are proven to be very important to physical and mental health...no surprise!! Of course, any meal eaten from Dainty Blue HAS to be beneficial.
ReplyDeleteI've been working on the mainland this week, and this afternoon I'm meeting my sister and two friends for a fun weekend - and I'm very thankful for that!
Oh, what a blessing to have good friends. They enhance our lives so much. Beautiful tablesetting and the linens are gorgeous. Very pretty. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteToday, I'm thankful for our wonderful freedoms. I am so sad at the awful things going on in the world.
Hello Rhondi, I am happy to have time to say hello today. We have been home since late Monday night and catching up with my blogging friends is time consuming. We had the most wonderful trip for the past six weeks. We are so blessed to have a safe trip and journey home. I am thankful for a trip full of adventure and being home again.
ReplyDeleteI should have joined in your thankful day and I hope to join in next time I am able. This sat. we are off again to camp with our children and grands. Another week without a computer. I find posting ahead isn't such a chore but finding time to visit is not going to happen. sigh. all will calm down soon. In the meantime we are having a wonderful summer.
I love your beautiful blue and white tea set. It is so elegant and special to share with your dear friends. We are nothing without our family and friends. We can go on with our Lord in our hearts but we need our loved ones don't we?
Have a wonderful week and until the next time...
Hugs, Jeanne
