We have had so much rain this year! It has caused the weeds to look like they are on hormones and it has produced more mosquitoes than usual and we already get lots of them here in North Carolina! But I am thankful for the rain because we have been in drought conditions here for a long time.
The rain has made everything so green and brought the water tables back up to normal levels. We can water our grass again although we haven't needed to! Rain is a wonderful thing that we take for granted until we don't have it.
So today I am thankful for the rain.
What are you thankful for today?

Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely looking at the glass half full and I admire that!!! :-)
We usually have very green grass here in the Midwest because of the cool spring temps, but I have noticed that is just the greenest, and most lush than any other time I can remember. I can't believe so many of us, all around the country, are having such similar weather...
I love this post, so much to be thankful for!!
xoxo

Thanks for hosting, Rhondi. Like your optimism about the rain.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
We have had our share of rain also. Last night it was thunder storms. Have a great day.

The rain sure is a blessing. Today it is misty and quite dark. If you look past this you do see that everything is lush and vibrant and so colorful. We so take the weather for granted and complain that it is not the way we want it to be, you reminded me that we must appreciate all of the weather variations that we receive.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your day!!
Hugs, Nerina :)
God has a passion for 'weeds' doesn't He ... chuckle! TTFN ~Marydon
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely post to pop into at the beginning of a hectic Thursday - I just say ahhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you've had rain. We're still waiting - the farmers are praying. We have two wells, but are aware that there is not an infinite source of water underground!
We are having a water shortage here in California (have for years). I hope we get enough rain.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteI am happy that your drought conditions are going away ! I know we've had so much rain here too, when it stops I bet the mosquitoes will be huge lol. I am actually thankful that the sun is supposed to appear tomorrow :) That would be nice!
Hope you have a beautiful weekend! hugs, Cynthia
This Thankful Thursday I'm especially thankful for prayer and the peace it affords.

I'm thankful for the rain, too. But, I don't think I'm grateful for the 98 degrees they are predicting tomorrow. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can understand the rain. Here in WV we are having the same thing. So much rain and flooding, The last few days it has not rain, but it is so humid.
ReplyDeleteThe gardens look great and I am Thankful for that. Last year we had a drought and nothing much lived.

Lots of rain here too, Rhondi. The sun was peeking through today for a bit. I'm thankful for the sun!

Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteBeing thankful for rain really is a blessing even though the mosquitoes here in Texas are like the size of a hummingbird. They are bad this year!! We had a lot of rain too this season. Now the heat has set in and soon it will be very dry. So I am thankful for all the rain we had so far.
I am also thankful for the flowers that got a nice head start from all that rain.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
I too am thankful for the rain, we prayed so hard for two summers ago. Even though I had to mow twice this week. :-) Happy Father's Day to the man in your house!
