Tea For Two

Good morning! I’ve just put the kettle on and hope you can stay and have a cup of tea with me.DSC07964

I picked some fresh flowers. Well actually I bought them at Dollar Tree and they're fake. They have some great flowers there right now.

I’ve put the tea things on a tray.

Since it’s morning I think that we’ll use mugs, 25 cents each at the thrift shop. These ones have hearts and cherries. Gotta love cherries and hearts!

I love dots too!

The tea is ready. I’ve put it on my tea trolley and rolled it into the living room.DSC07971

Come and sit down. I’ll pour the tea. I’d love to make you coffee, but since my husband says I make the worse coffee in the world I’d suggest you have tea! DSC07974

Two friends are coming to quilt here today. Mary is a fabulous cook and she is bringing homemade soup.

Tonight our church group meets here. Every Tuesday we meet at our house and share a meal together and have a discussion . There are 7 couples and each week someone brings the main course, another brings salad and another brings dessert. So that means that we only have to cook a dinner every 7th Tuesday. We all love that! I am doing main course and am taking the easy way: store bought lasagna and garlic bread.

So tell me, what are you up to these days? How is your family? What is it that has you worried, excited, hopeful, encouraged today?

By the way. You all guessed right. The little chicken's tail was measuring spoons and they were a little chipped from use :)

Thanks for stopping by. I really enjoyed chatting with you!

  1. Hi Rhondi
Mmmmm good tea! The family is well, the grandchildren growing at a great rate. I'm glad that I don't have anyone coming for dinner tonight! I'm getting ready for a holiday and am feeling a tad frantic, so this lovely sit down in your living room is perfect!

  2. I would love a cup of tea, Mint Tea please. I am building up the nerve to start my first quilt for my most darling Great Niece who I spent Sunday with, she is the most precious baby I've even known, so happy and crawling at 6 and 1/2 months! Also working on a wrap and some rather intricate socks. Thanks for sharing tea time with us.

  3. G'mornin', Rhondi...what a beautiful tea you have set up for us. I only had one teapot and my little grand was in love with it so it went home with her one day. Now, I am on the watch for another one...when I find it, I will fix tea for YOU!! :o)

  7. Rhondi, each time I visit your lovely blog I get to see more of your beautiful home. I'd love a cup of tea this morning. The mugs are dear, but the polka dot tea set is just my style. Not to mention that the tea trolly is wicker. I think we like much of the same things. You home is so inviting and special. Thank you for sharing the photos.

If you get a chance later today after the quilting bee, stop by quimperclubinternational.blogspot.com.

I'm guest blogger for the QCI this month. Today I have a Three or More Tuesday of Souvenirs de Breatgne. It's a group of decorative tins.

Have a good week. ~ Sarah

  9. Hi Rhondi...You know I share your love of tea and all things tea, and also used to have a Tea Time Prayer group on Tuesdays, where 5 of us prayed for our teens, who are now in their 30's. Tea and prayer just seem to go together. Is Tea for Two Tuesday an "event"? I would love to add it on my post tday if it is. Love your fall color flowers with the beautiful blue and white, and the darling polka dot tea set...very pretty!God bless,

    Mary

  12. Ahhh, Rhondi - I am so gasping for a nice cup of tea - no milk, no sugar - that I would drink it from a jam jar if your lovely mugs were all in use. A bit of cherry and almond cake would go well with that tea AND match the mugs. I'll bring one over.

    love, Angie, xx

  15. I have been drinking tea and not coffee since I went to Ireland at the beginning of August. I still make coffee for Mr. Hip every morning though I don't partake in it. I love your red tea sets. So cute and cheery.

  16. Ahh, you are a lifesaver~ a good, strong cuppa is just what I needed. Things have been so frantic around here, I hardly have time to sit more than a couple minutes, but praise the Lord, everyone is healthy & at home. I'm just feeling a bit discouraged over our house search- we've found several we really like & could "be home", but we keep getting outbid :-( I know it's all in God's timing, but you know how I am about waiting patiently...
Sounds like you have a delightful day to look forward to, with good food, conversation, crafting, & friendships; have a good time.

I have been busy painting my new home in the hopes that I will have the painting done before the wood flooring guy comes to refinish the floors and the carpet guy comes to lay carpet in the bedrooms~!
