Today is Thursday, a day I post about something I am thankful for. Today I am thankful for :
That is the church we go to on Charlotte NC. It is such a wonderful church to be a part of. We are seeing lives changed, marriages restored, teenagers excited about Jesus, and our attendance growing every week. We are making an impact on the city of Charlotte, giving our support to quite a number of the existing charities in our city. Our vision is to see "people far from God be filled with life in Christ"
I am thankful for a church that is exciting to go to and be a part of. It's too bad that in many people's minds an exciting church is an oxymoron! If you live anywhere near Charlotte come and visit. Here is a link to the website.
Every Thursday morning I volunteer at the church office, so I'm headed off to there shortly.
Hope you have a great Thursday.
What are you thankful for today?

I think everyone has their own preference as to the church and community one wants to be surrounded with. The important thing is it helps him/her in growing with the word of God. :-) And from what I read, you found comfort there.

Hi Rhondi. I'm so glad you have a church you love. We do too. Last night I was at Bible study...Beth Moore. She said, "I hope you have a church that you love." It really does mean so much, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though you have found a great church home, Rhondi. It's priceless, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about my church...I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd today I am thankful to be having a birthday!
Wonderful to find such a fulfilling church.
ReplyDeleteRhondi, it is such a blessing that you have a church home to which you feel so connected.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have a church where you feel such a sense of 'belonging' and it sounds like you give back so much with your volunteer work...God Bless you Rhondi!

Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for many things; including the Church. How wonderful that we can go anywhere in this big world of ours, and find brothers and sisters in the Lord. It is a good thing when we can find a church that we are connected to and fellowsip in. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi, Rhondi -
ReplyDeleteI love it when God's people get together with excitement and spread their enthusiasm about Jesus with the world around them. Our church is reaching into the community around us, too.

Not sure if you got my last comment .If you get two. Sorry . My computer dicided it needed a nap. Anyway I was saying we have been members of the same church since I was 5yrs old. A very long time ago. But my mom in her beginning Alziemers years had a falling out with a deacon and his family So refused to go back. Now we watch church on Tv every sunday . And it is a family tradition to make all the Holiday services .Which are my favorite. But I have no excuse for not going back to our church now. I am so glad you have found your church home. I am still looking .Or need to start looking is more like it.

Hello Rhondi, it is a wonderful thing to b happy in your church. I too am thankful for our small mountain church. The congregation is a blessing. It is a family in every way,
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you Rhondi,
Love, Jeanne
I too am thankful for my church. Actually let me say , I am thankful for all churches that preach Christ and Him crucified, buried and risen. I am thankful for the diversity of churches because they reflect the excitement of the wonderful God we know. Back to my church--I love people that are real. People that are open. People that are caring. Many in our church are weak in the doctrinal aspects and need more grounding, but they do love Christ. They do want Him to be glorified. ..and they do seek to meet the needs of fellow believers and of the needy in the community and in certain areas of the world. I love the fact that our church service engages us in worship and is focused on worship and not on a man's preaching, or a singing show, etc--it really is focused on Christ. It is anglican and uses lots of liturgy--and I actually love it because we all participate in praise, prayer, Bible reading, singing, and have communion each week....I love this and love going to church to worship. So I am truly thankful, too. (nannykim from spindle cottage
