Early Morning, My Favorite Time of Day

I like to get up early in the morning while it is still dark, wander into my kitchen, turn on the lamp on the kitchen counter, get my "Bonjour" teapot and make some tea.

Then I gather a warm quilt and sit in my chaise lounge,

and watch the sun come up through the trees.  Some mornings it is breathtaking shades of pink.  This morning it looked like this.
Then I get my mug of tea, my journal, my gratitude journal, my bible, my Streams In The Desert and spend some time reading, thinking, praying, being encouraged, and inspired, and planning my day.

Then I'm ready to begin my day and today it began with talking to you!  I hope you enjoy this day .

On this Valentines Day don't forget to say "I love you" to the ones you love.  We can never hear those three words often enough.

  4. Good morning, my friend - Happy Valentine's Day to you! Thank you for sharing your mornings with us. What an inspiration to see the world around you wake up. I wish I had a place near a window at the back of my house - that's where the sun rises here. I stand at my kitchen sink and watch the sun wake up. And I share your love for 'Streams in the Desert'. Spending time getting direction for your day is the best way to start out. ~Adrienne~

P.S. - Is your mosaic frame from Penny at Lavender Hill Studio? It's perfect for you!

  14. Hello Rhondi!

So nice coming by to visit with you! I felt an immediate connection when I clicked on your place here... if you read my profile you will see we have lots in common.

Just this past week I made a post draft about enjoying the early morning. I have a photo of the window over my kitchen sink just as it looks first thing each day.

And I have had Streams in the Desert by my Bible for the past year and a half! Such encouragement in that little blue book.

Thank you much for stopping by my blog and leaving your comment! Great to meet you!
    Kindly, ldh

  24. Happy Valentine's Day, Rhondi. Your quilt is beautiful and I loved the peaceful feel of your post today. It reminded me, I've been meaning to tell you something. You mentioned Streams in the Desert a few months ago, and because of that I picked up a copy for my own quiet time. I can't begin to tell you what a huge difference it's made in my life - all because you mentioned this wonderful book you read. It's really true, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." I just wanted you to know. Hugs, Terri
