This week Extreme Home Makeover is doing a house in our city, so my daughter and I went to see it on demolition day. Here are a few photos. They are almost finished crunching the house to pieces.
This is Rib Hollis, one of the designers. Look at those muscles!!
We were lucky enough to get a picture of my daughter, and Ty the star of the show. She was thrilled. He was really nice and let quite a few people take their picture with him. We made a fun memory that day.
Hope you have a great weekend
Rhondi xo
How fun! You'll have to let us know when this episode is on. Those are some big guns on that guy. LOL He looks like he could do the take down single handed.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun to watch the demolition taking place! Wish they could come to our home town... and how nice that your daughter could take a photograph with the star of the show... now she can say she had her own moment of fame! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Rhondi

You are indeed an artist. Love your quilts and love, love you blue and white bedroom. Your vignettes are lovely. There are not many "good" yard sales here in Kernersville,N.C. and only 2 interesting antique stores nearby. If it weren't for Home Goods, I would be lost. Love your blog.

Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteWe can see this show in Belgium too! I is spectacular. Somethimes I think it is toooooooo much what the Ty people do for these people how much deserving they are to reciece such a nice house. The kind of houses they make you can't find here in Belgium. This is something for only the superrich. I am somethimes wondering who is going to pay for the upkeep all those big houses with all those luxury's! I can imaging that you can make 5 other families very happy if he should do it al a bit less oppulent.
Hi Rhondi, I've just come to your blog from PinkPurl -what a lovely blog you have- I am about to spend some time going back through it.I am just starting to try quilting-one of my favourite places when I was living in the UK was the quilt display at the American Museum near Bath, in the West Country.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what fun!! I have been able to catch that show the odd time on the telly over here. It's always good!
ReplyDeleteHi Maryanne
ReplyDeleteI hope you like quilting as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll visit me again soon.
Hugs, Rhondi
Rhondi, oh what fun y'all must have had. glad you got to meet him.

Have A Peachy Keen Weekend.
I love that show and Ty. He seems like a nice guy and your daughter is a beauty. I will have to be watching for the show. My cousin also watched one when she was at her winter home in Florida. They sure do some good work.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day to go with your wonderful song.
Nancy
Do they really demolish a house?? We dont get that programme here of course, but it sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteRhondi, I happened to come across your blog (and the first blog I've ever seen) quite by accident while searching for "cottage by the sea" on the internet, and I'm so glad I did! It is lovely, I have enjoyed the photographs, your comments, and the music. I'll definitely add it to my favorites list so that I can visit it once in a while. Thank you. Carol
ReplyDeleteOh how cool that this was something you got to witness! I adore Ty Pennington and lust after him, lol. If I had met him face to face I would probably have been a blithering, drooling idiot. How cool that your daughter kept her composure for a pic with him!
ReplyDeleteKady
How fun to have photos of this and to have it happening near by.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great!

ReplyDeleteI know this show is here now in Holland on TV but don't watch it. Only because it is on at a time we are getting dinner together on Sunday. :) I cannot believe how they actually demolish a house and rebuild it. Amazing. Looks like you and your daughter enjoyed watching all the works.
ReplyDeleteThere is a giveaway on my blog today Rhondi so I hope you will stop by.

ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great experience you all had! Ty is so adorable, so vibrant and such a kind person. They were in Columbus a couple years ago and did a house. What a project!! My one son did some of the phone wiring and he said it was a well oiled machine. I'm glad your daughter got to have such a great time.
Have a great week!
Hugs, Sherry
