We have been watching the news, seeing the attack in Georgia and watching the Olympics as I'm sure many of you have. Wasn't the opening ceremonies an amazing production! I got to thinking what it would be like to live in those countries, one under attack and one controlled by communism. As I thought about it I became very thankful that I lived here in the United States, where we have freedom. So today I am thankful that I live in America.

What are you thankful for today?
Rhondi xo
Ohhhhhh yes, I agree. I am also thankful I live in this great country. I am thankful everyday for what we have.
ReplyDeleteI am watching the olympics. I give up every night about 10:30PM, so I miss a lot of it.
Glad you also are listening to talking books.
Nancy
I have not watched or will watch any of the Olympics but Georgia is very much in our news as the First Lady there is a Dutch woman. A Dutch cameraman was just killed two days ago there also. You are very right that where we live is a blessing. I don't live in the US but here in Holland, everyone has a good life. There is a high level of quality of life here. I am also thankful as each Thursday, that I can visit you my friend.

We do live in a wonderful country with as many opportunities as we choose to take advantage of. I've been enjoying watching the Olympics. I am so impressed by the stamina, endurance and motivation of the athletes. They are truly phenomenal - every single one of them.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are in the same directions. We are so incredibly blessed with our freedom.

I am so thankful to live in a country where we are free. Recently I began to think in depth about the freedoms we are afforded. I talked to a couple who are originally from Viet Nam. They described in detail the conditions in their country.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great - I'll be back.
Sweetie
I'm with you, Rhondi.
