I hope that the deer found higher ground.
This is the road into the swim and raquet club down the street. All the tennis courts and pools are under water.
We usually enter the woods here each morning on our walk. Someone else was out taking photos too.
But the rain is over. The sun is beginning to rise.
The sky is clearing.
The sun is shining through the trees.
Hopefully there is no more rain in the forecast. I plan to stay home and work on some quilts today.

The view from your deck is stunning. It's relaxing just to LOOK at, I can't imagine what it's like to actually BE there. Hope the water recedes quickly. Here in Texas, Fay didn't bring us as much as a drop of rain!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had the flooding, but it sure made some great pictures. I love the one of the clearing skies. You are a talented photographer.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful. God always makes everything look so pretty after rain. I'm glad Fay didn't ruin too much.
ReplyDeleteRhondi, all that water! It is so strange the way it can flood in one place and drought in other parts of the country. Too bad we can't share. I haven't seen rain all summer!

Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are high and dry and that the sun is shining through on you.
Hugs,

Oh my! Beautiful photos though! Hope the water recedes quickly!
ReplyDeleteTo us living here in the western desert, those are absolutely GORGEOUS photos, my sweet little rose chick!!! Just beautiful, but I sure hope y'all are safe!
ReplyDeleteSmoochies,
Connie
Wow! You really got some rain, a lot more than we did. Your photos are beautiful, Rhondi.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
Donna
Those are some beautiful photos! I sure wish we could have just a little of Fay's rain. Our drought has me feeling parched more than just physically!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. You guys got drenched. We are getting some today. We need it so bad. Amazing photos you took. Hope things are going down today. That's a bit too much :) Here's hoping for lots of sunshine for you Miss Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the flooding, although your view is absolutely beautiful. So green and lush!
ReplyDeleteHave fun quilting!
Hugz,
Michele
Hi Rhondi! Thanks so much for stopping by my new blog to say hello!
ReplyDeleteWe got the worse of Fay yesterday. I felt like I was driving in a hurricane when I took my dd to school yesterday a.m (and I hate to drive just in reg rain)! I couldn't believe the amount of water in my backyard. But it's out of here today and since we're in such a bad drought it did help a bit. But it was scary!
Manuela
Hi Rhondi,
ReplyDeleteWe got lots of water also, here where I live. Hope ur home & property do not flood.
I be praying for you & ur family.
Love & Prayers,
Ronda
Living in the desert, I envy all that green. Not so much the humidity...Mimi
ReplyDeleteWhat a mess Fay ?Aren't you glad she went home? You'd think she would clean up after herself!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are all fine.
Nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful story your photos tell--that there is always sunshine after the rain!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a blog party next week and would love to invite you and yours to join in! Hop on over and see what you think!

I am so happy I got my CD and now I can listen to this great song in my car now, thanks to you.
ReplyDeleteThe view from your deck is so pretty. We have rain today and fall temps.
Happy stitching.
Nancy
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've enjoyed my visit here and I'm sure I'll be back again frequently.
ReplyDeleteHope you're drying out down there!
God bless!
I'm so glad that you and your property are all right after that storm - I know how destructive such weather can be. I hope it doesn't take too long for the water to subside so that things can go back to normal for you.
ReplyDeleteYikes, Fay sure did bring a little too much rain! I'm glad it didn't come up all the way to your house.
ReplyDeleteI love watching the different levels of the river from my yard. It's about as low as I've seen it right now, but this winter it got to it's highest level since I've lived here and the highest in many years...so much so that a part of town was flooded!
Kady
Oh goodness. That Fay was a bad girl all the way. I'm sorry for the mess she created in your area.
ReplyDeleteI guess the old saying, when it rains it pours is true of Fay. We had two days of her too. Two trees fell down across our road. We needed the rain...
ReplyDeleteGlad your home stayed high and dry!
Hugs,
Penny
Wow, that is allot of rain. Your photos are so wonderful, I feel like I am there. A good cozy day to quilt with a nice cup of tea. Blessings, Karen
ReplyDeleteEven in a storm everything looks pretty. The green and trees. I can't believe so much is under water. Hope you are safe and inside.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the view from your deck and your connection to nature. I am glad the rains are over though! Roxanne
