Just Plastic. But...

Saturday I went to a couple of garage sales and I got this planter for 25 cents! It was an ugly faded green but some spray paint soon transformed it. At the same sale I found this planter, also only 25 cents. I had planters like these before but when the tree fell it smashed them both. The insurance company allowed $50 to replace them. The original blue one was actually pottery but I'd say that $50 worth of planters for 50 cents was a good deal!
I also found this sweet bunch of flowers for $1. They look quite real.

Even up close... All my bargains were just plastic, but.....I think they look pretty good! Have you found any bargains lately?

  2. I love your planters. What a good deal. I amazed that you just bought the planter with the fern, and you have already painted and potted. Your plastic flowers do look real. I'm starting to go back to faux flowers again, after I pitched then just a couple years ago.

  3. I KNEW I should have hit some garage sales this past weekend, honey! I would have grabbed that planter also and filled it with faux ferns to put outside on the front porch. Great deal and idea, sugar.

  4. Love your bargains! I too am a bargain shopper. I scored on a spur of the moment suite in Newport Beach with a view of the backbay for only $127.00. The air is so clear and there are great trails to walk around, all the while observing the wonderful wildlife that exists in this little wild area that is nestled by homes.

  7. Very good deals indeed! Nope, none around here. I hit 6 yard sales on Saturday morning, and there was nothing there for me. Maybe next week.

  8. Not too many bargains here lately. The yard sales have been yucky! You have found some great pots - really nice that they were covered by insurance with lots of money to spare. Sally

  11. The planters and flowers both look great. I have some plastic planters also, and I love them. They seem to stay cooler than the pottery kind and the roots of the plants stay cooler too. Great finds. Hugs, Marty

  15. Wow great buys! You must have some great yard sales in your area. 25c days are long gone around here. Even the thrift stores are jacking up their prices. But there are still some treasures to be found out there. The hunt is the fun part :-)

  24. Hi Rhondi! I think you found some really nice things... I always said there is nothing wrong with plastic as long as it looks good. Your plastic doesn't even come close to looking like plastic, I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me ;-) ...Hugs, Jennifer
