Proud To Be An American

stars-and-stripes[1]

September 11 is a day Americans will never forget. We all stood in shock as we watched our country being attacked right before our eyes. We gathered together to pray and to encourage one another. We all flew our flags. We were proud to be Americans.

Let us never forget the cost of freedom. This is a great country. Let’s keep it that way.

Just for today I wanted to play this song.

Make sure you fly your flag today if you have one. Be proud to be an American!

And if anyone in your family have ever served in the military, please let them know how much my family and I appreciate their service to their country.

    Quick story:

The week after 911 I heard that the prisoners in fed-prisons had no flags i there so they were making there own... so I hosted a neighbor hood flag painting day....to send them some from us!

  2. I am also very proud to be an American, proud of our constitution, and the men and women that gave their lives to defend our freedom. On this horrible day, Americans demonstrated their compassion and caring spirits as they came together to help those in need, to pray for each other and for our nation...all on their own, without being required to do so. Now the American people are fighting for their own freedom...I pray we win this battle. Our flag is already waving! Thanks for this great post. Mary

  4. Hello Rhondi, I read your thankful Thursday and it was such a sweet post. We have so many blessings don't we?

My post today was a reminder to fly our flags for 9/11. I think your post for 9/11 is right on. Americans need to fly their flags for freedom from terrorists. I will be flying mine high.

    God bless America.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  13. My flag has flown outside the cottage door today.....and the memories flooded back each time I looked at it. That terrible day, may it never be repeated. My brother-in-law escaped the Pentagon where he worked just before the plane hit.

    God Bless America.
