A Lazy Sunday Afternoon

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  The azaleas in the woods are in full bloom.

It's a perfect day to while away the afternoon in the hammock with a good book.

And while I was setting up my hammock I disturbed a mother cardinal nearby.

As I was being lazy  in my hammock, she was busy sitting on her eggs.

How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?  I'd love to know!

  3. Well Rhondi, I just came in from my garden where I mulched, planted, raked, snipped, cut, and probably walked a few miles in total by the time I called it a day...It looks good though:-)

Tomorrow, I'm going to do what you did today.

Love your blog, I'll be following.

I am SO looking forward to setting up my hammock!
We got up to about 70 degrees, but little sun. Daffodils and forsythia blooming now...

  11. I have been spending time with my daughter who went to her prom last night with bronchitis. She is not feeling well, poor baby! So we watched old Sandra Bullock romantic comedies!

  12. I spent the day with my two little grandsons, running, skipping, pushing swings and crouching at the base of slides. Later we baked cupcakes and decorated them (and the floor and table!) before a pizza party supper. Fun!
I am so nosy that I'd like to know what you're reading!

  16. Azaleas and hammocks? We aren't there yet in my corner of the country. But I'm waiting - and hoping!

After church on Sunday we took my dear, little mother out to lunch and then took her to buy birthday gifts for two of my grandchildren who have birthdays this week and next. We added a bit of thrifting in, too. Then home to work on a project. If you stop by you will be what we are working on.

  17. Those little bird eggs are so sweet...good luck to Mrs. Cardinal with her brood. Sunday was spent sleeping late, an early dinner out, followed by visits to the Farmer's Co-op store and the hardware store. Pretty relaxed.

  18. Oh do I miss azaela's . . . and lilacs, daffodils, crocuses, hyacinths and tulips. Flowers are different in Florida than where I grew up and I often remember Spring in NJ when I was a little girl. Thanks for a heartwarming memory!!

  19. Good for you, Rhondi. We all need those kind of afternoon. Your azaleas are beautiful. We are enjoying ours, too.

I spent my Sunday afternoon putting things back together after the painter left. I also did some work from home.

  20. Hi Rhondi,
What a beautiful spot, I can almost hear the birds chirping. Your photographs are stunning. It's still too soon for our azaleas to bloom, but the promise of Spring is all around us. I saw Daffodils on the hill yesterday.
