There's A Time For Everything

I made some peanut butter cookies for you.  Come and have a cup of tea  with me.

I wrote my first blog post  in November 2007, knowing nothing about blogging (I didn't even know how to add a photo in that first post).  I had no idea of how it would enrich my life.  It challenged my creativity in so many areas and helped me learn computer skills that I might never have learned.  But most of all it has enriched my life because I got to know YOU!

You are the most creative, caring, understanding, encouraging, acccepting, beautiful, and just basically amazing bunch of women I have ever had the privilege to know!!

I opened my home and you stole my heart.  I have played "show and tell" with all my projects and you have been so sweet to comment on them.  I have made you drink endless cups of tea even though I know many of you would have preferred coffee!

Since I have been back working full time I have tried to post occasionally, but I just can't do it the way I like to. There is a time for everything and so I think it's time to hang up the "Closed" sign on Rose Colored Glasses.  Perhaps one day there will be a "Back in Business" sign, but for now it's time to say good bye.

I feel very sad and am going to miss your visits. I am surprised to find tears welling up in my eyes as I write this!  You have been a VERY important part of my life these past 4 years.  Thanks for your friendship.

Rhondi xo

PS. I have started a blog for my real estate business.  It's called At Home In Charlotte Today, so if any of you are in the Charlotte area you might want to follow it. And if you know of anyone who is moving here make sure you contact me.

  4. This makes me truly sad. I had only just discovered your blog and was really enjoying it. I am looking to move to Raleigh or the surrounding area soon, I have no concept of how close that is to Charlotte. I feel sad that you wont be here posting anymore.

  5. Good Morning Rhondi, I am so sad to hear your news, however I have felt the same way a few times lately as well!....With life being so busy, sometimes I feel blogging is maybe not something I need to do....but then when I have a sweet blogging friend like you decide to stop for awhile I find myself very upset!:).....Please take a break & then come back!!...You are truly an inspiration & delight!....quilts, tea & just your thoughts on life!.....I also appreciate that your blog is your personal day-to-day happenings, not one of these "super blogs" simply interested in getting advertisers!!...Ladies like you are the reason I too started blogging!
Wishing you all the best!...Your friend, Heidi XO

  12. You will be missed! You have such a welcoming way about your blog....I have felt not only welcome here but like special company. Life is busy for sure, and I have no business to claim my time, yet the days fly by and I neglect blogging to be with my husband time and again. but... Thank you for all you have given us in the world of blogging! Beauty and friendship! May God continue to bless you as you walk with Him.

  14. Rhondi,
You are a blessing and have made Blogland such a special, homey, friendly place for so many. Your "Thankful Thursday" encouraged me so. You will be missed. I am leaving you in my sidebar in anticipation of that "Back in Business" sign some day.

I'm so sorry to see that you're closing your blog. I can well appreciate that you haven't been able to blog often as you've gone back to work, but your occasional posts were enjoyable.

Good luck in your future endeavors.

  19. Dear Rhondi - something told me to come visit you today and I see why now. It's funny how life changes and we have less time for some things because of it. I haven't been visiting much and am so glad I could at least say "Farewell" to you. May the Lord God bless you and keep you and make whatever you do in life be successful and flourish!

    Big hugs, Sherry

  20. Hello lovely Rhondi,
I am going to have a peek at that real estate blog. I love peeking into homes. My TV is permenantly fixed to the HGTV channel so I can see the real estate programs.

2007, so long ago, but it's so nice to reconnect every now and again. I started blogging around then too.

    Wishing you a lovely evening.
