My First Spring Bouquet.

Ah, the rewards of working in the garden: fresh air, the smell of the earth, seeing things grow, buds opening up, the birds fluttering around, the wonderful color of green. At the end of the day I had dirt under my fingernails (I just can't seem to keep my gardening gloves on all the time), aching muscles, lots of good plant matter to compost, a trellis moved, one more area tidied up , some things moved to new spots and this pretty bouquet for the table. My first spring bouquet!
All in all, a very satisfying afternoon!
This morning I am off to a quilting class.

  1. It looks like the garden won out yesterday:>) Are those white zinnias? And phlox! We don't get those in Michigan until July or August! You must have a spectacular growing season. I think I want to move south!

  2. Oh I am so, so envious of your dirty fingernails, aching muscles, and compost!! I wish I had all those things also. My garden is still a puddle of mud...but there are a few bright purple crocus by the doorway and that gives me hope.

  3. Your spring bouquet is so pretty! I can't believe you have all of that blooming in your garden already! Do you know we have freeze warnings for Monday and Tuesday night, with snow possible for Monday night? Now I am going to have to cover my raised beds.

  7. Your Spring bouquet is lovely. There is nothing as rewarding as being in the garden early in the morning. A cup of tea is deserved and a peek out the window to admire your handiwork.

  10. What a gorgeous bouquet, Rhondi! You are so far ahead of us - flowers, other than primula, are only in my dreams. We don't even have daffodils in our hills yet.
It seems that you made the right decision yesterday!

  16. The flowers are so pretty. I finally see daffys coming up in my yard. I am not a gardener so they have to just come up on their own.
I do not have a green thumb.

  18. What a beautiful bouquet Rhondi! You must have a breathtakingly beautiful garden. I can't stand to have gloves on my hands either, but a little dirt under the nails is not a bad thing I am thinking . . .

  20. Hi Rondi, it's so nice to see people having spring bouquets! We are just now getting out of the snow! Yesterday it was warm enough to get a little gardening done for the first time this year! I'm sure we will have some blooms in a couple of months though! Have a great week!

  27. Good morning Rhondi, thank you so much for the kind comments about Beth and our grandsons. There is some peace knowing she is not suffering now.

Your spring flowers with the rabbit is so pretty. Then comes the cold weather. Sigh.

I am doing Thankful Thurs. if you are hosting. I am doing something everyone should read. Have a happy day.

    Hugs...Jeanne
