Thankful Thursday

On this Thursday I am thankful that we were able to go away for a few days for our 40 th anniversary and stay at the Cuthbert House Inn, a beautiful bed and breakfast in Beaufort SC. They even had a deal that if you booked for Sunday and Monday, Tuesday night was free, so we got to stay for three nights instead of only two.
It was a beautiful place.with a wonderful view of the water from the front verandah.
We stayed in The Garden Room. The beds were so high I almost needed a ladder to get into it.
This was where we ate our breakfast every morning.
Here is the sunroom.
This is the elegant living room where they served drinks and appetizers each evening.
We had a wonderful time, felt totally pampered and I am so thankful for it.
What are you thankful for today?

  7. How nice that you were able to get away for a little relaxation at that beautiful B & B. My husband and I recently returned from a B & B in Virginia. I always love to see how the owners decorate them and also enjoy the homemade breakfasts served in such a lovely setting.

  9. I would much rather stay at a bed and breakface than a hotel. They have so much character! I love that porch looking out over the water. I would have been out there a lot! Happy 40th annniversary! Glad that y'all had a great time.

  10. Rhondi, it is beautiful, and I am so glad you got to have this special time.

I love Beaufort. Actually, I love both Beauforts - North Carolina and South Carolina, but South Carolina is my long time favorite.
