Thanksgiving #6

Whenever I think about counting my blessings, my family is right at the top of the list.  I have been married for 41 years to a very good man and we raised 4 wonderful children, 3 sons and a daughter.  I love all my kids, but I have to say I am very thankful that I have a daughter. My sons are great, but 2 live far away and let's face it, guys just aren't as relational as girls are.
So today I am thankful for our daughter.  I am thankful for her many phone calls and drop in visits and thoughtfulness.  She is a sweetheart.
And while I'm at it, I'll brag a little on her too.  She teaches kindergarten and was voted teacher of the year at her school.  Not only am I thankful for her, I'm proud of her too!

Enjoy your weekend.

  3. A very sweet post!! I was blessed with 2 sons and 2 daughters and yes, daughters are more relational than sons -- although my sons do pretty good :)

Congratulations to your daughter on the award. How wonderful!

  5. Rhondi, what a sweet post! As a former elementary teacher, I send my regards and best wishes to your daughter. I worked with first grade students the last ten years in the classroom. It was my favorite grade. My sister taught K and retired a few years ago. Congratulations to Ms. Mullins!
