On this Thursday I am thankful that there is a God who I can turn to and trust in times of trouble, like we are going through right now in the US, a God created the universe and parted the Red Sea. I am thankful for the word of God which enourages me and reminds me of who God is and whathe can do. I am sure there are many of you who are praying that people of integrity, who speak the truth will be elected, people who will put aside their party affiliation and work for the good of our country.
I am thankful that I am in a country where I can vote for who I think will do the best job.

What are you thankful for today?

Hi, I visited your site last week, and left a comment wishing to join. Maybe I left it in the wrong under the wrong post, because I was for sure how it worked. I think I went to your original post when you started Thankful Thursday.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right - we are, indeed, fortunate to be able to vote our choice - I'm so thankful for that today and everyday.
You have a very nice blog :)
Rhondi, yes I am doing thankful Thursday. I should have let you know.
ReplyDeleteVoting for elected officials is one of the important parts of being an American. I too am thankful to God.
Hugs...Jeanne
Hi Rhondi!
ReplyDeleteI share your thankfullness.
Even though my country is a mess, and the polititians are almost all corrupted, I know there is a God, the one God, who takes care of us... And there is where my joy is, in Him! :)
I join you in prayer for our country, our leaders, the election and our role as believers in a mighty God to our world. Thank you for this post. ~Adrienne~

Rhondi, I agree with everything that you said. I just published my Thankful Thursday post. Karen
ReplyDeleteI just stopped back to say that I stayed up late last night to watch all the reports of the agreement. I felt so proud of our crazy wonderful country. To think that in the middle of an election, that people could put their differences aside along with their political agendas and reach an agreement that would help our country made me feel so thankful. If we are to be thankful for our a adversity, I count it a joy to have watched this mess become an opportunity to see why I love being an American. Blessings, Karen
ReplyDeleteLovely Thankful Thursday post. It just shows, if you look hard enough, you can always find something to be thankful for! Our politicians sometimes make me want to post about their antics, but most of them would fall under MAD MONDAY!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you one hundred percent. I pray that whoever is elected will just do the RIGHT THING!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi ~ Like you, I am thankful to be an American and to have God in my life. I am thankful for my precious family and our home. I thank God for all of my friends, too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day, sweet friend!
Becky
Today I'm thankful for my middle child, my beautiful daughter Lori. Today's her birthday and I smile every time I think of her. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteHi Rhondi. I watch what is happpening to you all in the States from my side of the pond and see it refelcted here. Things are really bad in England at the moment; banks failing and people taking from the banks what little money they have in case they lose it all. I guess some are stashing it under the matress. Maybe God is working his purpose out and this was meant to be and when we all come out at the other end our countries will be a lot better for the 'shake up' So I am thankful today for human resilience and our ability to weather any storm. Love your latest blue and white purchase by the way. Eli
ReplyDeleteI too pray for our leaders. They need to carry God in their hearts. We do have such a wonderful country to call home.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. I also hope and pray we will be able to really depend on the truth coming out and we elect the right people. USA needs support right now and they better have their eyes looking up, wayyyyyyy up.

Hi Rhondi... thanks for the eye-opening--indeed, I'm thankful for my job and job security, although sometimes (most of the time) I complain about it and having to go to work.... :) Somethings our eyes are blinded and we cannot see our blessings.... sad to day, but so true....
ReplyDeleteHugs to you

ReplyDeleteYou just made me tear up when you said I am sure there are other Americans doing the same thing (re: praying like you are for the right people to be elected in November), because I am also praying for that and now I know someone else is helping me pray. Thanks for your comforting words!
