Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday. Today I want to show you a couple of handmade things: flowers handmade by God and a quilt handmade by me.

Peonies from my garden

A rose from my garden.

A quilt I made.
I am having a porch party again this year on June 1 and I'd love to have you join me. Click here to find out all about it.
To all my Canadian friends, I hope you enjoy this long weekend.

  2. Your peonies and roses are lovely Rhondi. My peonies are more of a raspberry color and they do not have a scent. I love the pink ones, they have such a pretty scent.

That quilt is BEAUTIFUL! I am looking forward to the porch party!

  7. Very pretty peonies and gorgeous quilt- Can you tell me the name of the pattern, Rhondi? I love bargello quilts and am always looking for new patterns. Is the quilt a small lap one? It is hard to get a sense of size from photos.
We hope that the weather warms up here in Alberta. The peonies are not ready here yet- the spring has been too cold- maybe with the Victoria Day weekend here the weather will improve..We can always hope.. Enjoy your weekend..
    Regards,
    Anna

  18. The Peonies are gorgeous, a favourite of mine and these ones look like they are out of a Japanese painting or embroidery. I'm glad you've shown the quilt, it's very cheerful

  19. Well, Rhondi girl...I am just beside myself about that lovely quilt you made. Gosh it's pretty..
I am working like crazy on my front porch..that custom swing I mentioned...it got here yesterday and sweet Mr. Sweet is painting it cottage white for me. My tree man can't cut my dead tree down because every time he gets ready (can only work on weekends) it clouds up and looks like rain..
I am looking forward to your porch party, tho....

  32. I would love to have peonies but I'm thinking it's a good thing we havent because the high winds we can't seem to shake off here would blow them to bits, as happens with the roses.

Looking forward to your porch party
    love, Angie, xx

  34. Hi Rhondi, I remember you saying a while back that the colours around your home reminded you of a box a crayons (loved that expression) ...and what wonderful colours they are. I can always be assured of a bright and cheerful welcome at any time of year when I visit. I adore the pink peonies. They are show pieces and I'd love for them to grow on my patch here in England but sadly they are never truly happy here.
